5:24
Reginald Chua further talks about the tools being developed to improve efficiency and report with greater insights.

Ben Rudolph stresses on how the usage of various technological tools has become easier than it was 2 or 3 years ago.

"Once organizations work out the incorporation of the new technology, it will help us improve stories", opines Lisa Gibbs.
5:27

Answering Reginald Chua's question about the editor's role in AI stories, Lisa Gibbs says that editors should verify and vet the summary of the story before publishing it.

Reginald Chua asks Ben Rudolph, "How close are we to a truly interactive experience in news reporting?"
5:32
Addressing the question about the interactive experience, Ben Rudolph talks about the depths and the specifics of user experience.
5:33
Reginald Chua states, "We should do multiple versions of stories. Example, a programmed baseball story, where some users see the version that shows only the final result and a longer version. Similarly different versions based on favorite players and other such versions. The main role of the journalist then is to get facts."
5:34
Ben Rudolph emphasizes on use of intelligent recommendations and fact checkers to avoid bots and fake news.
5:37
Ben Rudolph further talks about the information present everywhere and how we need to get it. He adds, "It is necessary to expose news which needs to be exposed and is sometimes not reported by other media."
"Most users don't want to read the entire history with all the incremental details but might prefer a summary instead," points Reginald Chua.
5:38
Lisa Gibbs questions Reginald Chua and Ben Rudolph about the role of AI assistants for journalists such that the role of the journalists is not limited to only collecting facts.
5:40
That marks the end of the discussion. Thank you for joining in!
