Some syllabus described the assignment or final project as a paper of xx pages(10-15,for example). Is there a standard for "1 page" of paper in Yale? How many words should one page of paper have?

Different courses will require different types of papers so it really depends on the course(s) you choose. Typically one page of a paper will be double-spaced and size 12 font.

Hello! I am applying for the Directing Workshop. I am a US citizen and I need to get independent health insurance to finish my application, but the open enrollment period has passed. Does YSS require a full coverage plan or can I get something like a partial coverage temporary plan? Are there any resources I can use through Yale? Thanks!

We require you to be covered by health insurance in case you get ill or injured during the program. Please email summer.session@yale.edu and we can direct you to some resources.

Hi Maaheen. It depends on which program you are applying for. Some programs require applicants to upload resumes/CVs. For most courses, we require students to submit transcripts.

We don't suggest doing anything to prepare for specific classes, however, some instructors may reach out to you and ask that you complete a short assignment before the first day of class. You may also reach out to your instructor and ask them directly if they have any recommendations.
