Other than standard materials (pencils, erasers, calculators, etc.) is there anything you recommend getting in advance for the course?

This really depends on the course and the format of the final evaluations.  There might be papers or presentations, or a final exam online.  We proctor the exams online.

The workload is high outside of the class meetings. You should expect 100-200 pages of reading per week in a Humanities or Social Science course or 2-3 problem sets per week for a Science course.

Hi, I was wondering how heavy the workload is outside of the synchronous class meetings?

This really depends on the format of the quiz and the instructor's preferences.  You are not required to have an extra camera, but sometimes we use them for monitoring exams.

How will the online quizzes be conducted for the course assessment? Is it an extra camera required to monitor students' ambient objects to avoid cheating?
