The application requirements at the Yale SS website claim that students partaking Certificate Programs are not required to prove their English proficiency. Does that include IB Diploma?

Hi Cathy. Because Yale Summer Session does not award degrees, students who take a YSS course are not considered Yale alumni.

No, unfortunately, we do not offer GRE/GMAT prep.

I graduated from a graduate school in Japan and the program that I chose was completely instructed in English. Does that mean I don't need to take an English language test and what kind of document will I need to submit in order to proof that English was the medium of instruction? Thank you!

We would need proof that the school you attended offered courses in English, so a letter from the Registrar's office would suffice.

We do not offer guarantees of admission upon completing YSS, however, demonstrating that you can do well in a college-level course at Yale will add to the strength of our application.
