Hi! Going off of Alex, where can we find assignments for other courses? I'm in a Shakespeare class and a American Lit class. I know there is reading for one, but I haven't heard anything from the other professor so far.
Meg Palladino

Hannah - Each professor is different.  Some syllabi are posted on the courses page of the website, but many professors wait until the first day of class.  https://summer.yale.edu/academics/courses-yale

Yes, you can come to the dining hall and pay for your meals on a cash basis each time you'd like to eat, or you can ask the desk attendant about how to buy a meal plan if you are living off campus.

Who do I email to ask if a guest can stay at the dorms for a night or two?
AvatarKathy Trputec

You have to first make sure it is ok with your roommate if you have a guest in the room and then you have to clear it first with the summer head of college.

Will we be given any information regarding who will be leading the seminars?
Meg Palladino

The lead professor is Jack Sahl, graduate of Yale Law school.  The other instructors are also experienced teaching the Law Seminar.  It's a great program!

Hello!
I'm participating in summer session B in July and have some questions about arrival. I'm flying to Newark Airport and taking the train to New Haven Union Station - could you recommend any taxi companies or similar that could transport me from the station to Morse Crescent? And what address should I give the driver to follow that is closest to the housing check-in address? :)
AvatarHannah Parten

Hello! Most students use Uber or Lyft to get from Union Station to Morse College. We recommend you give them the address of Payne Whitney Gym which is directly across the street from the Morse Crescent, where housing check-in is taking place. 70 Tower Pkwy, New Haven, CT 06511

Do we need to get vaccinated before coming to school? Or do we need to bring some supporting documents? (Which kind of vaccine?)
Meg Palladino

Zhiting - We do not require any specific vaccinations.  Please check with your doctor to see if anything is recommended.

Hi it’s Khalilullo from Uzbekistan, usually our citizens face visa rejections from counsel of US when they are doing some degree in USA, so my question is can you provide some suggestions or support in order to approve visa
AvatarKathy Trputec

You can print your acceptance letter from your portal and use that as supporting documents for your visa. Just make sure you look at all the materials that are required for the visa appointment and bring them with you.

Are there extracurricular activities that we could attend?
AvatarHannah Parten

Hi Adria. Students who are living on campus can participate in dozens of events and excursions during their time at Yale. We will have trips to NYC to see Broadway musicals, professional baseball games, amusement parks, and nearby beaches. There will be several events on campus each weeknight and weekend, as well.
