We also like a show called Life in Pieces.  It's a little bit similar to modern family in that it's all about one big extended family.  Each episode is 3 short stories and they're funny.  You might want to give it a try if you have a spare minute.

My finger is getting better it has been more than a week so my bandage is of now. We don’t know if it is broken, but we don’t think it is. Hope Charlie’s okay.

My dog (Lady) is missing her friends on the farm. She is less depressed now we've been going new places to walk her. Shes loving it a lot
