Umps are still warming up, too. Lots of pretty shady calls yesterday and today.

Future first baseman Jose Bautista

Didn't see it, but heard that there was slight booing of Kim.
Owen Watson
7:47
Yikes
Bork
7:47
GOD DAMN TULO
George Harrison
7:48
Well, McHugh and Fiers are fine middle of the rotation starters, and the Astros bullpen is legitimately great. The 6th best reliever in the pen is a two time all star. Still, when McCullers comes back (late April), Keuchel/McCullers/McHugh/Fiers is just as good as anyone's in the AL outside of Cleveland and TB

Even at their best, I have a pretty hard time comping that rotation to Kluber/Carrasco/Salazar.
Which is why you said "outside" - durrr
7:51
I love the really bashful/guilty look on a fan's face when they rob a homer over the fence
Bork
7:51
Fan obstruction in Tampa Bay. Who saw that coming? A fan in Tampa Bay?
Owen Watson
7:51
I actually laughed
7:52
Oh man, and they're giving the fan his own box on the broadcast during the review. Buuuurrrrnn
Well I didn't see that one coming.
7:53
And he's ejected anyway!
Joe
7:53
Wait the guy gets kicked out for catching a HR?
Toasty
7:53
I know opening day seats aint cheap but i dunno if i could stay after doing that
Sam C
7:55
Ya fans always get ejected for interference.
CamdenWarehouse
7:55
3 Ks for Buxton
Owen Watson
7:55
This might happen for a little while.
Ryan
7:55
Alexei Ramirez plays for the Padres? Alexei Ramirez is 34? This is Alexei Ramirez's NINTH season in the league? I guess there's a lot I didn't know about Alexei Ramirez. I am humbled.
Owen Watson
7:55
Also what does Alexei Ramirez eat? Anything?
7:56
Skinniest player in baseball?
Dave
7:56
How did Justin Turner get so good? Did he steal David Wright's talent like the MonStars?
Owen Watson
7:56
Marlon Byrd! I think Eno wrote about it last year. Started getting the bat out earlier instead of waiting for the ball to travel. More pull power.
Adam
7:57
Thole's Father in the stands
Owen Watson
7:57
If it was a TB homer, would he have been ejected?
Bork
7:59
If it happens for the Royals in the post-season, the guy is a hero #stillmad
Owen Watson
8:00
I was steamed over that fan interference that wasn't called in the 1996 ALCS for a decade.
I mean come on, man. That is just so brutal
Sam C
8:01
Bartman?
Owen Watson
8:02
I feel like Bartman was just a cruel victim of circumstance. Definitely easy to say we would have done differently than he did, but who knows!
Ryan
8:02
I have no idea what Alexei Ramirez eats - my Alexei Ramirez ignorance knows no bounds. I do think Billy Hamilton is skinnier, but not by much.
Owen Watson
8:02
Melvin Upton Jr. also has a shot at this title.
CamdenWarehouse
8:03
That ruined my birthday man, don't remind me.
Owen Watson
8:04
Yeah, I'm from Virginia, so before the Nats came to D.C. Baltimore was the closest team. Definitely was a sore spot for a long time.
CJ
8:04
I refuse to stop calling him BJ.
Owen Watson
8:04
I support this
8:05
Story: I was at Fenway in the late 2000's in the center field bleachers, and the fans were mericlessly taunting BJ Upton by yelling BEEEEEJJJAAAAAAAYYYY
