Don't make bids based on what you've seen on the positive and if people do, let em overpay. See if you can get a Tanaka discount
Ya I usually hate those, Craig, but I totally get it
Prob

Paul, I saw you quote tweeted that video of Treinen. Im ProboscisMonkey in your twitch stream, and we discussed this last night, but man he has some nasty stuff. I have always had problems with his control/and I would think confidence issues over the years. That slider with a 97-99 fastball with movement can be devastating if done right
Wes
7:44
BAH GAWD THAT'S ROUGNED ODOR'S MUSIC
Paul Sporer
7:44
Hey monkey! I'm hoping he's gained some confidence by the trust they've put in him and he let's his stuff do the work. Really does have some right-handed Zach Britton appeal. Eno always loved him and I should've gotten some shares just in case after Eno also called Dyson in Texas last year
It's Like

You're on bath salts but no faces to eat :-(

Odor with a big first punch
CamdenWarehouse
7:45
Odor is paying for his horses already
Shirtless George Brett
7:45
initial impression: The AL Central is going to be a dumpster fire outside of Cleveland.
Paul Sporer
7:45
Probably, but let me still dream until the season actually starts for my Tigers
Craig Edwards
7:47
AL Central should have a lot going on. White Sox stil have Quintana and Frazier and Abreu. The Royals are either going to contend or sell everyone. The Twins have Buxton and Sano. Detroit could contend or have a huge sell. Cleveland should romp, but there are a lot of reasons to follow the rest of the division because what they do will matter for the rest of MLB.
Prob
7:48
Also, Adam Lind as the hero of the Nats' opening day? Who would've thought?
Paul Sporer
7:48
He should be pretty solid as a righty-killer
CamdenWarehouse
7:48
Thoughts on the Melvin to Detroit rumor?
Minty
7:49
Gallo didn't strike out!
Paul Sporer
7:49
It fits and they need an MLB capable OFer at this point. Maybe reuniting with Justin will get him back on that SD track from last year
Ben Kessler
7:49
craig, sano breakout year?
Edubs
7:50
Thanks, Paul. Love you and Eno on the pod! Have y'all given any thought to doing FG live blogs once a week for games? Or is there not enough demand/would it be too taxing on the FG team?
Craig Edwards
7:51
I wouldn't call for a breakout because he would have to be really good for that to happen, but he could get to like a 120-125 wRC+ in a very powerful way, but he just strikes out to dang much.
Paul Sporer
7:51
My guess is the latter would be the issues. Most of the team has a family, they can't all just sit here watching game after game like my lame ass
Inge-Colored Glasses
7:51
With some little injury luck, the Tigers could get a wildcard spot. Right?! Right?! Also, Cleveland's pitchers tend to get hurt
Paul Sporer
7:51
Yes, but perfect health is already out the window before first pitch with JDM down. Zimm has to come back and both of Boyd and Norris need to be solid or better for 150+ IP
Rick
7:51
"Twins have Buxton and Sank" two unproven players with relatively high ceilings. Just like every other division.. just admit it, AL central sucks
Tyler
7:52
What did you guys think of the WBC?
Craig Edwards
7:52
not sure there are really any others out there that have a former best prospect in baseball who hasn't broken out and is still young enough to break out.
Paul Sporer
7:52
I absolutely loved it. I was in early and stayed engaged throughout. It was the WBC I dove headfirst into
Craig Edwards
7:53
WBC was great. It is a lot of fun to see players get excited about outcomes in March. Sort of felt like it carried over a bit into last night's game.
that's one Yandy Diaz AB. Cistulli still in hiding after that one.
CamdenWarehouse
7:54
Profar could still break out
Craig Edwards
7:54
i suppose that is possible
Tyler
7:55
I think i watched over 24 hrs straight of the WBC.
Rigoletto
7:55
Dylan Bundy could break out.
Craig Edwards
7:56
that might be possible, too, though not as likely.
Bernie
7:58
Is this gun hot? Yu just hit 98.
Craig Edwards
7:58
statcast had one at 97.9 so not hot.
Paul Sporer
7:58
I heard on another game today that they're measuring differently this year and it's going to yield about a +1 MPH across the league.
7:59
Actually, before I disseminate bogus info, I want to be clear that it might've been specific to that stadium of that game and not all, but they mentioned that it'd be measured out of the hand as opposed to at 50 ft.
Craig Edwards
7:59
only one out, but he would have tied the game on that one.
Art Vandelay
7:59
The AL Central sucks on paper, sure, but that's the beauty of baseball! For all we know both wild cards could come from the Central! (lol)
Compton
7:59
Clint Hurdle could break out.
