They have 1 capable DL.  Zero faith in Tuitt or Alualu.

dean is 5'11" so what..have you checked the size of James harrison ?
Brian Batko
10:17
Four picks away from the Steelers. I wonder if there's an outside chance they'd take another WR? But someone small and shifty like Calvin Austin from Memphis. Would be a very different option on offense than George Pickens.
Zamo
10:17
Yes Adam he would have helped. Teams will constantly run right down our throat and take away our best defensive player - TJ Watt.  If we are constantly in 3rd and short, rinse repeat, rinse, repeat. We have done nothing to improve the biggest weakness this off-season or draft.
Adam Bittner
10:18
Greg Dulcich, UCLA TE, goes to Denver at 80
Just a fan
10:18
So who you picking Adam?
Adam Bittner
10:19
Intrigued by Dean and Faalele. Winfrey seems like the obvious fit, though. Chenal as the dark horse.
Brian Batko
10:19
LSU corner Cordale Flott to the Giants at 81

10:19
Xavier - I'm not trying to convince anyone of that fact -- it'll become readily apparent to people like you all by itself soon enough...
Next Coach
10:19
Hey Dubble - at least we could stop worrying about the secondary. No opponent would even need to throw the ball.
Brian Batko
10:19
Speeding up now, Western KY edge-rusher DeAngelo Malone to the Falcons at 82

10:19
WR = Khalil Shakir....id love it although we would still have serious issues on DL
DJ
10:20
Worried Steelers have same success drafting qb as corner
darknight
10:20
Dean vs. Harrison comparison is laughable.

10:20
Bring in someone like Jarvis Landry and go best available, not a WR, for the last few rounds.
Dave
10:21
Adam/Brian I know we havent discussed RB but any rumblings Steelers will add one in later RDs?
Brian Batko
10:21
Yeah I could see that. But no earlier than their sixth-round pick.
pdxJaxon
10:21
the dean vs harrison size comparison is identical

NextCoach ,DJ and Zamo all dropping truth bombs in here!
Zamo

if we ignore DL, I would like Cross from Md. hard hitting safety that can potentially replace Edmunds
Biff
10:22
wouldn't mind a running back to compliment Harris. not sure where people are being picked but i like the kid from Michigan Hassan, and Pierre Strong
darknight
10:22
Could they take another WR?  Maybe a slot type.  Shakir from Boise St.
Biff
10:23
James Harrison as a rookie was 20 pounds heavier than Dean. and probably 40 by the time he retired.
Brian Batko
10:23
Little bit of a problem solved for the Steelers: Nakobe Dean is going one spot ahead of them, to the Eagles at 81. Reunited with Jordan Davis in Philly. Pittsburgh on the clock.

Still need help against the run

10:24
What about Winfrey in the 3rd?
Jack
10:24
It sux that so many great DT's are off the board, and one went to Baltimore. We need a big run stuffer!
Brian Batko
10:24
I'd take the massive Minnesota RT Daniel Faalele here. Why not? He's 6-8, 384. An intriguing project for a line that needs to get way better.
Zamo
10:25
I really hope Steelers brass has an ace up their sleeves for a run stuffer at some point this draft.
Brian Batko
10:25
Steelers are taking DeMarvin Leal out of Texas A&M. Not quite a DT, not quite a DE, but was a highly rated guy going into last season.

Brian/Adam/Ray - thanks for doing this! Will there be a third tomorrow?
Adam Bittner
10:26
I unfortunately have a wedding to attend.
Zamo

if it’s not on the D-line, get someone that weighs 300+ That can help the trenches!!!
Adam Bittner
10:29
Here's the Lance Zierlein scouting report from NFL.com: "Early entry defensive lineman who appears to be caught between "best fit" positions at this time. Leal possesses adequate rush skills and knows how to craft a rush plan, but a lack of suddenness and closing burst turns potential sacks into hurries without the help of a long pocket count. When the motor is cranked up, he can stack and slide past run blockers with efficiency and quickness. He didn't put together the tape that was expected and disappointing reps against Evan Neal (Alabama) and Charles Cross (Mississippi State) could create concerns about his pro readiness. Most will see him as an even-front defender in some capacity, but playing 3-4 DE might be his best fit as a pro."
Top NFL comp is John Franklin-Myers
Dave

Teal that weighs 283 can easily reach 300+ up at St. Vincent cafeteria...easy fix!
Zamo
10:30
Appreciate you guys doing this last 2 days. I’m a passionate fan that reads all your stuff and listen to the pods.
Adam Bittner
10:30
Thanks, Zamo.
10:31
Zierlein projects Leal will "eventually be an average starter"
Marcus Jones, a CB from Houston, goes to the Pats at 85.
