Nope. It's George Pickens, WR from Georgia, according to a Twitter reporter. Pickett to Pickens!

Pickens scouting report from NFL.com's Lance Zierlein: Lanky perimeter wideout with exciting ball skills but in desperate need of additional play strength and a clean bill of health. Resilient to make it back so quickly after an ACL tear, but needs to show quick-cutting ability for route-running. Pickens possesses borderline elite ball skills with in-air adjustments, strong hands and an enormous catch radius. However, he fails to put defenders on his hip and command the catch space to make his work less cluttered. The routes need more polish and physicality but he has the athletic ability to become a viable target on all three levels as a likely Day 2 draft pick with a little wider gap between ceiling and floor than NFL teams might like
Lists Josh Reynolds as top NFL comparison.

That’s not exactly a glowing scouting report.

It's a good Vegas Draft pick.  Definitely a roll of the dice.

I like that pick

Love that pick.

now we gotta get a DL in 3 for sure
Adam Bittner

So, every other QB was available at 52. Gonna make for some interesting discourse.

Good pick.

They should try to move up from 3 to get Jones.
Paul
8:45
Something tells me this Pickens guy will be willing to block.

Kenny Pick-6 probably would have been available at 52 also.... (just sayin')

Pickett would not have lasted until Steelers 2nd pick.

I'm with ssa76. I don't think Pickett would have been there. But if they really liked the others as much as pre-draft reports suggested, it makes you wonder if they could have gotten more 1-2 value going another way in Round 1. That's why they play the games.

The highlights didn't show much. Should we have taken Moore?
Dubble07
8:48
Wouldn't have mattered if he didn't -- they shouldn't have taken him at all...

Pickens strikes me as an upside play.

Go get DT Jones now. End his fall.
Dave
8:48
So Pickens is basically Claypool 2.0?
Zamo
8:49
Pickens reminds me of Plaxico
Adam Bittner

Skyy Moore goes to KC at 54.
Tom
8:50
Moore looked like an excellent route runner (AB-esque) compared to Pickens limited highlight reel.
Scott
8:50
Think Claypool realized this is his replacement?
Nick in LB

Looks a lot like John Stallworth. We can only hope.

Now trade up and get Travis Jones!  Please!  This guy will anchor the skins for 8-10 years

you wonder if the people who set up this stage understood in which direction the sun sets

Maybe this helps people off the ledge:There's the Pittsburgh Round 2 WR. Pickens has first-round talent and first-round film. Tall, long, sudden, enormous catch radius. Nasty demeanor on the field. Torn ACL and maybe some maturity issues knocked him down the board. True WR1 capabilities. (Chris Trapasso)

Gonna post some more expert reax here.

Trey McBride of Colorado State goes to ARI at 55.

Right school, wrong player.  After Bush is signed to league minimum to back up in 2023 and Nakobe Dean is in the pro bowl, we will have to remember this pick.

It sucks  when we sit here and watch our biggest rivals select 2/3 pro bowlers. Just sucks when we are reaching for QBs and WRs
ssa76
8:55
You have to trust Steelers ability to pick the WR position. DB? Not so much.

8:55
They don't need any immaturity in that recieving room
Boknows

Alec Pierce and Skyy the next two picks immediately after Pickens.  Well set up for the second-guessers
