Dear mum, its been 9 months since I have seen you I really miss you I’mhoping it’s going to be over soon, I always look at that picture you gave me every day and night and that pillow you gave me is always going to be my favourite I love the fact it has the family on.

I woke up and had waffles for breakfast and i got in my car and went to a little village in the village there was nothing and the people who lived near my house they were so good and they took me shopping and they let me buy some food and i enjoyed there.

In the morning, we are  all woken up by a bell from downstairs, the breakfast is most likely toast, (or bread) , I have the job of rummaging in the bushes for hen's nests to get the eggs in. after that, i get one of them which is delightful.

Before I arrived, I drank up all the hot chocolate you gave me to keep me nice and warm. When I arrived I could see lots and lots of fresh green fields and a lot of flowers.

In the morning, I had to dust the bedrooms with a fluffy kind of stick.Before i could have my breakfast, I had to go on my hands and knees and scrub the kitchen floor. I actually liked doing this because it meant that no one could go in the kitchen because they would slip on there bottom and have a angry red mark that they deserved.

Dear Mother,
Before I arrived in Birmingham I had to get on the train. There was no toilet and no food, I was lucky you packed me a few slice of bread, it really helped. All of my school friends were there but they were silent from the torture of saying goodbye. I miss you and tell dad I love him every day.

As it got to late evening, I put the animals in the barns and changed clothes to get ready for dinner. We went down I was gladly greeted to the family. I feel better but the train ride ruined the whole day. I’m getting into bed now I was supposed to be asleep 37 minutes ago I’ve got to go now. Bye.

I belted out to one girl she calmed me down like you do, you and her would get on well she was missing her ma as well she lived down the road from us. I am going to school with her tomorrow I will right to you more later. Love you.

First, I saw my new parents (which are better then you)  that are policemen and sometimes I accidentally arrest my self and scream until they come and let me out.

I miss you and I hope you are doing okay.
I just wanted to tell you that I am okay and a woman called miss hall is taking very good care of me and my siblings,she found us a school and a home to live in and she feeds us very yummy food.I hope you are eating very good food to and I just wanted to see how you and grandma are doing.We go to school everyday of the week and we have learnt lots.

When I got on to the steam train, I got excited because I had never gone on one. I always felt a bit worried that you or dad could be in danger. The food actually tasted super good!

At first, I was very uncomfortable in my new house but I looked around and I felt much better. For the rest of the day I sat on the couch waiting till bedtime so I could finally be alone.When I woke up I was terrified as I forgot everything had changed.

It is my first night sleeping and it is uncomfortable my bed is a stolen pirate hammock and I keep on hearing kind of loud gun shots from the city about 5 miles away it isn’t that comfortable but it ok.

In the morning, I had to get dressed for school and then clean the floor. Meanwhile, I was eating a croissant. When It was time to leave for school, I put all of my books in my bag and went. First, we sang, God save the King, then we prayed. Finally, we sat at our desks and started to do our work.

Today was a fairly good day. Mr Lakely was kind to me and fried some bacon and eggs for a nice breakfast. I gratefully thanked him for I haven't had a good meal in a while with this war happening. Once I'd finished, I decided to explore and headed to the beach, the waves lapped gently across the shoreline. I gladly ran across the sand the wind blowing through my hair until I came across a girl, sat on a rock and watching the distant dolphins dive. Kindly, I went up to her and started a small conversation, she seemed nice. Her name was Rose. But she also added this: her surname was Hitler. I almost died in shock, maybe today wasn't as good as I thought...

In the afternoon, me and Kevin have been picked up by Miss Deacon and Mr Brown and started to walk to their house the Creek. First, they make me change and get to school. Me and my new friends play football every hour for 30 minutes.

Dear mum,  When I waved goodbye to you my heart sank into the ground. I felt as if I couldn’t breathe but then I remembered that i would see you very very soon. I really miss you mum and I hope to see you soon. Living here is not to bad but I would rather be with you. He treats me really nicely and he feeds me and he lets me play with my friends all the time.

Now that I've gotten used to them, they seem nicer than I thought. School is good and the teachers are kind to me as I'm new.

In the evening, me and Mrs. Lee had a baking competition and she won. We had to make the best chocolate chip muffins and I accidentally overcooked mine so it was obvious she took the win. Baking with her reminds me of when I used to cook with my mom and I truly miss her a lot, hope she’s doing well without me by her side.

Dear mum, first we had breakfast in wetherspoons, I had jam on toast once we ate are breakfast we went shopping with my best friend and got some fruit to make a banana shake to, keep us going it was so delicious  then I had to clean the dishes because you can not do it, because you can not do it.

After school, I had to help make tea and clean the floor. My new family had a house like a castle. The house had a tap in the garden and hot water. Surprisingly, in the front room was a piano stood like a lone stranger on the streets. The streets are filled with children and at night not even a bird land in the town.

in the morning mrs brown tells me to collect the eggs from the chicken coop and milk the cows  . then she  waved me of  and i walked to school .  when i was at school we did maths english and i went home and did my chores  and got ready for bed we ate our rationed food and went to sleep.

Dear mother, i have went on a train and it was cold dark and scary there were no windows and i was squished with hundreds of other children and then i went to an old ladys house and she gave me lots of food then this lady called Mrs fray helped me get a ball from a high place.

Every day I wake up to the smell of honey and nut nut porridge and all the time we go out on walks, we usually walk up to the seaside shaw and collect seashells to sell to get money so we can afford more food and more beds for me and my friends (well when I mean friends i kind of mean they are like my siblings)

In the morning, I woke up and had what Mr Aeter said was a full english breakfast. It was delicious and I ate it in under 10 minutes! After that, I went outside to walk along the shore. The sea sprayed in my face as the sea gulls ( Mr Aeter calls them pests ) glided through the air. Eventually, I went back 'home' to do my chores for the day.

Every morning I have to feed the cows. It is nice because I get to do something which is not inside the house. I am getting home schooled and I get to help out on the farm every day. I am enjoying myself but I wish you are here with me.

In the morning I have to gather the eggs and make breakfast and if I was lucky I would have a sausage and egg. Then I would wash and dry the clothes. I then go to school and I raid the cabbage feild and wash it in the drain. At lunch I eat the cabbage that I had stole and drink some water from the boys bathroom. As I go to bed I whisper your name hoping you appear but I know your far away. From James.

Dear Mum,
I miss you very much, but this is what my day is like.
In the morning, I have to collect the eggs and sort them out. After, I go to school for a few hours and it is cramped because there are about fifty children in one room.
Then, for lunch, I get my rations soup and bread. Mrs Kendle cooks heart warming food and it cheers me up. However, I do miss your cooking.
In the afternoon and evening, I do jobs for Mrs Kendle.
Anyway, I love you very much. Hopefully see you soon.
