Personally, I like the "expanded roster" for the WC game. A 1-game playoff is uncharacteristic for baseball, and thus may need to be played uncharacteristically.

I think this is actually a great part of baseball. I root for so many former Cardinals, even as my Cardinals fandom has kind of diminished over time, just because I have such fond memories of them. More baseball players to root for can only be a good thing.
