We are having patients and family members asking when we are going to begin vaccinating patients. Do we have a rollout plan for that yet?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:41
We anticipate in the next 1-2 weeks to be able to offer vaccination to household members of our employees who meet the criteria for vaccination. More information to come

14 days after my second dose, do I still need to wear a N95? is a surgical mask enough
Einstein Healthcare Network

You should continue to follow all PPE guidelines while at work and all other COVID risk reduction guidelines outside work regardless of being vaccinated.

how long should I wait after having Covid before safely able to take vaccine
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:43
The CDC requirement is to have completed your quarantine period prior to getting your vaccine. Other than that there is no recommended minimum wait time. Since the risk of reinfection within 90 days of the original infection is low, people may choose to defer vaccination for that time frame if they want to.

What is the time period of immunity provided by the vaccination? Is it longer than the "90 days" provided by contracting the virus?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:44
The duration of immunity after vaccination is still not completely known. The patients that were part of the original studies are still being followed.

I am currently pregnant due in March.  If I want to postpone the vaccine until after delivery, can I begin doses during maternity leave? Or do I have to wait until my return to work?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:47
You would be able to get vaccinated while out. Speak to you HR rep..Keep in mind that you need a note from your OB
Lot's of great questions. We are going to wrap up in about five minutes.

Good morning. Is there any new data available on the current vaccines that are being administered? Will other types of vaccines be available ( ie live attenuated or other)?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:48
The patients that were included in the original studies are continuing to be monitored. We should have more longer term data available as those patients are followed. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is likely the next vaccine candidate to be reviewed by the FDA.

If there is no data for the vaccine in relation to pregnant women, wouldn't that mean that there is a potential that it's unsafe?
Einstein Healthcare Network
2:48
Not necessarily. The Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine recommends that pregnant women be offered the vaccine. Talk to your OB
