Xiaozhi, you can't apply to more than one PhD program. You can apply to more than one master's program, but if admitted to more than one, you will have to choose only one to enroll in to start.

Sam, the GRE is just one part of the overall application portfolio. It has an affect, but it is rare that it will be the deciding factor.

Prince - it does not. You will be notified if you are rejected. You'll usually be notified of the lab/advisor you'll have prior to matriculation.
