Also, is it encouraged to contact the professors who I am highly interested in their research prior to receiving a decision or are there rotations during the first year to choose an advisor?
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir
10:19
Aidira, at this point it may be too late, only because it's rare that a professor may take time to respond to an unsolicited email from someone they don't know. But it's up to you.

If I believe there is new and extra material that can help my application, shall I submit it? Or will submit new material change the dates of my early decision application to regular decision, since the early deadline has already passed. Thx
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir
10:24
Yu Sun, you can submit an updated transcript or CV/Resume to gradstudies@seas.upenn.edu. However, there's no guarantee that the new info will be reviewed, as we do consider application materials final upon application submission.

Hi will! My application status hasn't changed to under review or anything along those lines even though my application was completed on 25th dec 2018. The current status is "ready for review". Does the status change or is the decision simply provided as and when it is made? Thanks
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir
10:26
Guest, Ready for Review means we've sent it to the dept to be reviewed. It won't change until a decision is made.

Hi Will, I also applied for MCIT and want to know about "the stats for acceptance rate for the MCIT online program"

Chay

Hello There !

I am an applicant to the IPD program . Since IPD program draws expertise from the three schools of UPenn - Business , Engineering and Design , I would like to know how the IPd cohort interacts with each of these schools and how the schools integrate IPD students into their activities and objectives . I would be delighted if you could explain the case taking Wharton School as an example and showing how IPD cohort interacts with and integrates with this school .
AvatarWill Fenton, Asst Dir
10:28
Chay, Those are great questions. Unfortunately, they're not ones I can really answer at this time, as they'd be much better answered by the IPD Program. You should reach out to Maryeileen Griffth at mebg@seas.upenn.edu, the program coordinator for the program. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
Thomas
