12 team mixed roto redraft OBP league. Short term and long term outlook. Max Muncy (LA) or Colt Keith?
Brent Hershey

Short term: Muncy (b/c of OBP). Longterm: Keith

Al only.  Need Eflin replacement.  Please tell me your top 3 choices from:  SWR, Povich, Klassen, KRocker, Davis Martin, Arrighetti, NMartinez.
Brent Hershey

Thanks for the chat, Brent! 11 team mixed struggling with power. Would you replace Burleson with Colt Keith? Also, keep Nimmo or swap for Cam Smith or Cowser? Thanks!
Brent Hershey
1:06
No, Burleson > Keith.
Yes, either. Slight pref to Cowser

AL only.  Thoughts on Zebby Matthews?  Last year I thought his stock was higher than this year?  Is he a better bet than DKremer?
Brent Hershey
1:07
Haven't checked his AAA numbers yet, but Zebby was trending wrong way in spring. Disappointing, as drafted him some early on. Kremer has an MLB job, so slight pref

The only way Colt Emerson is called up for regular PT is if injury or CYoung severely falters?
Brent Hershey
1:08
No, if they want an OF upgrade; Donovan can move there and Emerson to 3B (which he's playing some at AAA)

How concerned should we be about Jorge Polanco? He's dealing with Achilles issues and DH'ing almost exclusively. Exit velocity is down from last year's breakout.
Brent Hershey
1:08
Mentioned above; I am concerned given his age.

Good day, Brent. NL-only, 12-team, dynasty. Looking to add a "do no harm" reliever today as a free-agent replacement for an injury. Suspects among the slim pickings include Bradgley Rodriquez, Thielbar, Rea, and Winn. Does the latter have a sniff at a handul of saves in a bad pen?
Brent Hershey
1:09
Yes, Winn is likely the best pick here.

Good morning, Brent! Always appreciate the time from both you and Ray.

H2H 12-team points league heavily weighted towards wins. Need to choose from (it's about to get ugly)

Kyle Harrison
Lance McCullers
Parker Messick
Sonny Gray
Shane Baz
Jack Flaherty
Aaron Nola

Appreciate the help!

Hi brent, how many starts like his first two should patiently wait for Pfaadt to show is usefulness before I pull the plug in a 15 teams league. He was a reserve pick in our draft in march. He is on my bench. Current alternative could be Junk, Wrobleski, Povich, Burke, Rocker. Please rank with gaps
Brent Hershey

Wrob / Rocker / Burke / Pfaadt / Povich

What do you think about Sprout long-term?
Brent Hershey

Undecided; though like the spot he's in (MIL)

Is Joey Loperfido a legit breakout this year?
Brent Hershey

Not yet convinced, but intriguing start for sure

Will I get 300 ABs in the bigs this year?

Before I completely give up on these players, how would you rank these players for probability they can be successful? - Mayo, Pfaadt, Sprout.
Brent Hershey

Mayo, Sproat, Pfaadt

When De Vries gets called up in the next month or two, think he will earn a starting role or move over the diamond? A's aren't exactly strong at 2b or 3b and not even sure about SS.
Brent Hershey
1:13
Wilson not moving off SS, the contract they gave him says so. DeVries is their 2B of the future.

Brent-- NL only - What current non-closers do you like best as plays to unseat incumbent closer? In Cinci, SF? Elsewhere? I already have Soto in Pitt.
Brent Hershey
1:13
Soto; as stated curious on Killian (but that's still a long shot)

Looking for warts in the first two starts by Rhett Lowder and if there are any, they are quite difficult to see.  But the SP Tool really doesn't favor him in a what should be a favorable road start against the Marlins.  What am I missing?
Brent Hershey

Early-season Matchups ratings can take time to stabilize. About getting to that point.

Hiya Brent ... As fan here!! HQ was down on Max Muncy, citing plate skill + statcast data concerns. In ST, the former seemed improved .. and so far this season, he's hit the ball HARD!! I grabbed him in exchange for Shaw recently, who doesn't hit the ball hard and seems to be best against LHP. Decent gamble??
Brent Hershey
1:15
ATH Muncy has surprised so far. Decent gamble, yes

Brent, Good morning.  16 Team Roto Keeper league (OBP).  I have some roster dilemmas thanks to Griffin's unexpected (somewhat) call-up.  I'm anxiously awaiting Herrera to get C eligibility.  Once he does, who do i cut, Naylor or Caratini?  Assuming that takes awhile, do i let Griffin sit in my minors for as long as 3 more weeks, or do i cut one of Manzardo, Doyle, or JH Lee a week from today when cycle moves are due?  Love all 3 of those players long term.  Was hoping by the time Griffin came up, i could move Herrera from Utility to open up a spot...  Which guy would you cut?  Would it be insane to let Griffin sit that long just to be able to hang onto those 3?
Brent Hershey

Caratini would be best, but think you can move on from JH Lee if you need to.
