sorry for all the questions! But I wanted to ask if there is going to be a medicine taster session as part of the discover medicine series?

Hi Yusra, no problem that's what we're here for! All of the sessions running in our Discover Medicine series are medicine taster sessions! The first one running next week is all about 'applying to medical school', the 2 running in Easter are all about 'preparing for admissions tests and and the day in the life of a medical student' and the final session running in the summer school is targeted at 'preparing you for interviews' - hope this helps :)

Hi Yasmine! All the resources from the Get Set for Uni event will go onto the Student Portal for you to catch up. We ask all of the academics who are delivering the academic sessions if they have any resources they would like us to upload to the student portal also after the events, but we cannot guarantee all will provide materials.

Hello, I am just wondering what would be good experiences/ great things to do/have that would increase the chances of getting accepted to the Oxbridge universities or any competitive university/course

Hi Brad, attending as many RfE events as you can will help you with applying to competitive universities such as Oxbridge. Getting work placements would also help with a university application, as well as any extra curricular activities you can do

for the library registration form you need to hand it in but which library do we hand it in?
Also, what’s a reference only ticket for the library?
How long it takes to know if you’ve been accepted the opportunities fund?

Hi! you can hand it in to any Library and many students do this after an RfE event as you are obviously already here! Reference only means you cant borrow anything to take home :) The Opportunities fund is a rolling fund (no deadline, its open all year round) typically you would hear within 4 weeks. The money comes from the couple who fund RfE like I spoke about at the Induction Day! Full info on the fund is available on the RfE student
