What even is a Russell group? Why would uni of Leeds be considered better than Beckett?

@Anon - yes in Easter! We'd recommend coming along to related events/subjects like chemistry (where we'll be making paracetamol), nursing or midwifery!

Hi @K. We'll be looking at exactly what Russell group unis are in Get Set for Uni Part 1 in Freshers' Week, so come along! Essentially, these are all research intensive universities that place high on the U.K ranking tables.

Unfortunately, I can only attend the Friday, due to welsh schools being in school that week. Is there any chance I can have some of the information for the chemistry event?

Will RFE help provide us with work experience ?
AvatarMolly
4:52
Hi @Becca, please email the inbox about this and we will be more than happy to help if we can!
AvatarShauni Sanderson

@anon remember how much work and research you have to put into an EPQ. It has to be an area that really interests you, so we can't tell you! Look up current developments/current affairs relating to dentistry and the healthcare sector. That might be a good starting point

@A, we will help you with identifying and developing your skills that will give you the tools to seek out work experience opportunities.

do you need work exp to get a degree
AvatarMolly
4:58
It's not essential, but the importance that is placed on it entirely depends on the degree!

Hello last question I'm wanting to go into a career in forensic science do you think it will be hard to get into it, I am going for work experience with police just for experience.
AvatarMolly

Hi @Zain - plenty of career paths are considered 'hard' to get into, but realistically you have to work hard whatever field you go into! Work experience with the Police sounds like a great place to start though - well done.
