Hi @guest. There'll be an interview skills session in Get Set for Uni Part 3 during October half term in year 13.

@:) you need to check the dates that the ukcat/bmat will run for the universities you are planning to apply to. It's up to you when you start revising!

@Michael - we cant run every subject in every holidays as we don't have enough days (we would love to though!) expect these courses to appear at Easter and beyond!

@Michael, yes we should have some Business/Finance activity in Easter. We also have an office trip to PwC planned for Spring Bank - they do many things as a company, including finance, accounting, technology and economics

Hi, I want to study dentistry and I know how important manual dexterity is but I was wondering what sort of things I could do to show this and I don't really play a musical instrument which is the main thing I found online.

@Luanna - RfE students are entitled to apply for scholarships when the time comes in Year 13 - we will give you all the information you need next academic year

@Riya, hi! This is entirely up to you. We don't think you should play an instrument if you don't enjoy it. People often talk about handicrafts, up close detailed work such as drawing, but there will also be the opportunity to use our VR Simodont machines on RfE events which you could also talk about!

Hi @Hannah. Good question. This kind of requirement would be institution or even department specific, so I'd recommend looking on the website of where you want to apply or even contacting the admissions tutors. Even if they're not an entry requirement it might be useful to include in your personal statement or mention at interview. Hope that helps!

@Anon - yes we have lots of Futurelearn courses here at Leeds - they can be a great way of discussing commercial awareness and research in your UCAS application

@Sannah - you can email the admissions tutors to ask, letting them know that you are an Access to Leeds eligible student, but an Access to Leeds offer doesn't lower GCSE requirements. Keep checking as these boundaries do change!

@:D - most universities have entry interviews but not every course, some decisions are based solely on your application form. We will go through these with you at Get Set For Uni events

@Guest you will be eligible for Access to Leeds which automatically lowers the grades needed (AAA becomes ABB), but you will not get special consideration!

Hi @guest. EPQ stands for Extended Project Qualification. Essentially it's an extended piece of research undertaken in either year 12 or 13 around a topic of your choice, resulting in an extended piece of writing or report. It's a great way to prepare you for exactly the kind of study you'll be doing at a research intensive university.
