Both are on the table, I'd say. But seems more likely for Montes to get the call given team context, esp if they fall out of WC race. CLE more firmly in, and they went out a beefed up 1B w/ Nathaniel Lowe. Kinda rare that prospects like them are late-season game-changers for fantasy, though.

NL 10 team 5x5 - what’s a reasonable trade return for Otto Lopez on an expiring contract?
Perhaps $6 A Ortiz and ?… what seems fair?

Not a whole lot more, I don't think. If I can get one solid potential keeper for an expiring contract, it can be worth it. Although yes, Otto's value is high this year because of the BA. Maybe a touch more since Ortiz is an bit of an unknown in that org and you don't know what their offseason might consist of.

FWIW, I swapped out a final-year Jose Soriano this weekend for River Ryan. Will it work? Who knows. You just take some shots.

Kodai Senga seems to have re-invented himself as the Mets closer. Real or mirage? His stats and past control issues would seem to be a warning! In our NL only 5x5 I used my #1 waiver claim on J. Baez and passed on Senga.

All are true. Senga has the "stuff" -- a good fastball that plays up in relief and elite offspeed (forkball) -- to see him becoming a solid closer. In that way, this success is not super surprising. I'd be more wary of how he fits in w/ Dev Williams. BUT ... I doubt you'll regret taking Baez over him, also. Good luck!

NL-only, 12-team. In a dogfit for wins while I protect ERA. I plan to leave both Carmen Mlod and Mitt Bratt on my bench tonight, despite their scheduled starts. Smart or too safe?

That should go a long way towards protecting your ERA. Wins are fickle; this is good process.

NL-only, 12-team, dynasty. In first by one point, with wins, SB,  and saves crtiical down the stretch. The following are available free agents to bid on today: Jackson Kent, Rafael Flores, Turner Hill, Luis Mey. Any of them have a chance for consistent playing time or increase roles? Kent may get runway, it's just hard to see the wins coming.

Feel like your best bet out of that quartet, given your stated needs, is Hill for SB. A bit of an older prospect, but SF's season is over and it's not crazy that Hill gets some time in the OF. He's probably also the likeliest to get send back down ... but then you just try again. In a 12-tm only, that would be my lean. Kent is interesting, but yeah, I think the W potential is going to be low. He's def #2 out of this 4, though.

What do you expect from Aiden Miller after a lost year? His last 2 months in 2025 showed a major improvement in hitting. Is he likely to pick up where he left off, or is that likely gone because of rust? Play winter ball?

No idea at all ... and from everything I gather, the Phillies are at the same place. It's just flat brutal given his late-season success in 2025. But the back was the reason they kept him out of the 2025 Arizona Fall League ... here we are almost 12 months later and he's barely picked up a bat. Unless some there's some sort of crazy positive news on him this offseason, I think moving on is the percentage play. Which pains me to say as a Phils follower.

And on that happy note (!), I've cleared the queue. Was a great hour again and I look forward to next week, same time/channel, etc, when we reconvene. Thanks, all!
