I do not (though a fun week for him for sure)

Are we getting a vintage Waino performance at home tonight?  Something is in the air...
Brent Hershey
12:46
Not sure I feel it.

Devers wrist injury of concern for ROS?
Brent Hershey
12:46
Not at this point from the info we've heard. But worth tracking for sure.

Does Civale pitch 2 times this week?  Most schedules say he does but it only a 5 game week for TB.
Brent Hershey
12:48
Yeah was looking at that this morning. Going to treat it as such, but truth be told I'd probably start him even if he just gets one (1st start is MIA; Rays offense; pitching well of late, etc)

Long term - Gavin Williams, Skubal, or Bibee?
Brent Hershey
12:48
Skubal, though a really fun question.

Any under the radar strikeout targets for ROS in the AL?
Brent Hershey
12:49
Is Ragans still under the radar?

Hi Brent!  4x4 NL only. Gallegos is available and I could use saves but not at the expense of WHIP/ERA. Worth picking up? Would have to drop one of J. Jimenez, Strahm, K. Nelson, Holderman, Puk, R. Suarez.
Brent Hershey
12:52
Top of my head -- no. Second thought ... maybe for Nelson?? I just don't think Gallegos gets many saves the rest of the way.

12:53
Eloy looking weak under the hood, just random variance or are injuries starting to derail his power?
Brent Hershey
12:53
Question for the offseason, but broad-brush it sure seems like he is underperforming our expectations from a few years ago and injuries have played a big part.

Joe Ryan likely to be better version rest of the way? Do you prefer him to Kutter, Woo, or JV?
Brent Hershey
12:54
ROS rank: JV > Ryan > Woo > Kutter

HR and AVG ROS - Dever, Bregman, Teo?

Hi Brent. In a 5X5 H2H league, would you prefer Christopher Sanchez or Kyle Gibson ROS? Gibson's surface numbers look ugly, but over the last month he has a 3.29 xERA and 152 BPV, along with a great ballpark for pitchers and solid offensive and defensive support. But Sanchez has also pitched really well (3.15 xERA, 139 BPV over the past month), and has been quite consistent, which helps in H2H leagues. Thoughts?
Brent Hershey
12:56
Think I'd lean wily veteran over unproven youngster where both should get ample team support. Sánchez has been fantastic, though.

Hi Brent!    Thanks again for doing these!  You rock!   Who are your top NL prospects that could see the Show after the Sept Roster expansion?  Maybe PC-A? James Wood?
Brent Hershey
12:57
Thanks for the props! Saw Wood last week in AA; exciting but doubt that he gets the call just yet. PCA is closer and more likely. That could be a fun month in Wrigley.

Does Joe Ryan (MIN SP) have another level with his skills? Seems like if we can get the HRs under control we're looking at a top tier SP.
Brent Hershey
12:57
Think his first half is repeatable skill-wise, not sure there's another level but he might not need it

What's your take on Jordan Walker's season? The stats seem underwhelming, but maybe my expectations were too high for a 21-year old (I recall my age 21 years and I wasn't in MLB shockingly). Is his swing too flat to take advantage of the velocity? Expectations for 2024?
Brent Hershey
12:58
Holding his own, very young as you state. Think he'll be fine and a great keeper asset over the next several years, even if 2024 isn't the big step forward we're waiting for.

Two parter-- assuming Gelof maintains his current production pace through season end (which would leave him just short of a 15/15 season in ~250 AB), (1) around where do you think his ADP falls next year, and (2) how likely is he to meet those expectations? Thank you!
Brent Hershey
1:01
1) Not good at this stuff, but in the 120 range, maybe? 2) Given #1 ... I do think he'll be a 2024 draft darling and as such perhaps be overvalued. Great, great story for A's in 2023, but not sure he lives up to the possible hype. We'll see.

Happy Monday Brent!
I've got the following players sitting on the IL of taking up a bench spot in a 5x5 dynasty league.  Without telling you my whole roster is there any of them that you would turn around and say "No point in holding onto that one."?:
A. Ashby, T O'Neill, H. Davis, J. Duran (BOS), J Kelenic, A Kiriloff, J Jung, N. Lodolo, T. McKenzie
Brent Hershey
1:03
Would not say that towards anyone here. Ashby  might be the closest (many think reliever rather than starter), but we've not seen enough to make that determination yet IMO.

Please rank these SP for 2024 expected value (5x5 QS, assume keeper costs are the same for all): Skubal, Eury, Gray-Rod, Woo, Ragans
Brent Hershey

Actually think I'd keep this order (though maybe could flip the first two?)

Hi Brent,  is the correct rank for these hitters in 5x5 ROS: T. Taylor > N. Martini >>[insert gap]  Abreu >>  [insert gap] Peralta > T. Kemp?
Brent Hershey

Looks right, yes
Michael

3.5 points from 3rd in NL-on;y, and need all the points I can find! Need QS without killing my ratios, I have Pepiot but drop for Oviedo or Williamson? On the batting side, R, HR and OBP: drop Peguero for Connor Joe or Tyrone Taylor? Thanks as always Brent for getting us through the season!
Brent Hershey
1:05
-No, would want Pepiot ROS over both
-Yes, for Joe. PT and skills combo the best of those three ROS
Ron
1:05
Thanks for the chat Brent! H2H points league and R,RBI, and SB are all valued the same. Who would you start at 1B this week, Nate Lowe or Alex Bohm. It’s playoff time and need all the points I can scrape
Brent Hershey

Bohm

Likelihood of Woo being shut down now that Seattle is leading the division?
