Colton Cowser and Brady House were dropped in 15-tm keep forever dynasty. Thoughts on each as potential keeper candidates or future trade chips?
Brent Hershey
12:47
More confident in Cowser improving than House. CC will likely be streaky with all those strikeouts, but being able to play CF is good for giving him ample chances. One thing I worry a bit with on House: new Front Office there is WSH, and House preceeds them (from prior regime). They could move on from. him more easily. Overall, more an average regular at 3B.

Who plays 1B for Nats?
Brent Hershey
12:49
Chapparo / Ambelic Ortiz for now; also Yohendry Morales could get a look. Not sure any of those are a long-term solution, though.

12 team roto redraft league.  Need to support obp and help w SB.  Of Edman, Lara, L Butler who do you like the most ROS.  Tks!
Brent Hershey
12:52
Lara in a vaccuum, but he seems like the type of player who could get replaced on the roster here in the next ~5 hours. Edman would be next.

Can you give us a program note?  Will HQ be serving up the classic "kitchen sink" summaries and implications of all the trade deadline deals, as in the past?  Or will you do something else?
Brent Hershey
12:56
Yes, of course. Our PLAYING TIME TODAY column covers those immediate situations; and we'll have a Traded Prospect rankings article for either Tuesday or Wednesday, which includes overall ranks, plus AL- and NL-only breakdowns. Lotsa content on the trade deadline!

Needing steals in 12-team weekly H2H categories (OBP, daily roster moves), would you target Jacob Young, Cooper Pratt, Esteury Ruiz, or Jake Mangum? Pratt feels like a "buy skills not roles" archetype even though he's buried in the order. But tempted by Ruiz who despite inconsistent PT steals almost every time he plays.
Brent Hershey
12:56
Pratt or Mangum for me. PT safe for both; more than the other two.

Thx for chat! 10 team AL with OBP I need two hitters. Please rank top 6 of the following;  Jones NY, Lee Det, loftin, Monasterio, Schanual, Robles, Torres, Yoshida, Trammel, Baez, CES, Nolan Jones Sea.  Thank you!
Brent Hershey

Torres (Gleyber, right?) / Jones / CES / Trammell / Monesterio / Lee

For next year, Lile or Esmerlyn Valdez in 5x5? What Roto $ would you expect for each in NL-only next year?
Brent Hershey
12:59
Esmerlyn; higher power ceiling. Sorry, lightning-rounding it now and can't estimate R$

Hi Brent,
Thanks for taking my question. NFBC 15 team 5X5. I need help in HR/RBI/R with Kurtz, Gelof and Witt banged up. Is Tyrone Taylor for real or will the bottom drop out soon? How does he stack up ROS with Yaz, Jacob Young, and Benintendi? Thanks.
Brent Hershey
1:00
Would prefer the other three to Taylor, whose PT I feel like could fallout with the Mets selling. Beni first, then Yaz I guess?

Brent, my AL only 5 by 5 team needs major help in BA, RBI, & HR and to a lesser extent Runs (no need for SB).  I have a decent amount of FAAB $ remaining.  I am thinking of putting all my chips in on Luis Garcia instead of dabbling on multiple claims like Max Clark, Freddy Peralta, and whoever else switches leagues later today.  Would you support this approach?
Brent Hershey
1:01
Yes in your situation.

Michael Busch has slumped out of the break, looking like part batted ball luck (8% hit rate last week) and part skills slippage (6% BB, well below 13% season rate). Power has obviously disappointed and limited hope for a rebound. Would you move on in 12-team 5x5 OBP for any of Royce Lewis, Torkelson, Bleday, Cooper Pratt, or Heriberto Hernandez?
Brent Hershey
1:02
Yeah, big disappointment overall for Busch. Lewis or Hernandez , and maybe Bleday, would be preferable.

What are your thoughts on Edgardo Henriquez LAD for '27?  His savant page is mostly red.  BPX of 117.  Movement on his pitches are extreme.  Do you see him as a future closer or starter?   or does he just end up another stud in Dodgers' bullpen?
Brent Hershey
1:03
Bullpen arm; more valuable in real life than fantasy; just don't see LAD using him in a fantasy-friendly way

H2H Points - 2 Questions - Do I use Stott as a streaming 2b this week with the trade new of Arrez? Should I start Chapman as a closer instead of Kirby or Hunter Brown - this week?  Wins and saves are the same points, but you get 2pt per inning.
Brent Hershey
1:05
Stott: yes; not exactly sure what they are doing here, but his improved bat will be in the lineup somewhere. And feel like the starters are better bets than closer in what you describe. Probably lean Brown

12 team AL only 4x4. I need a couple pitchers protecting ratios. Please rank Harris, Brash, Joyce, Zeferjahn, Detmers, kittridge, Lynch. You are the best!  Thanks
Brent Hershey
1:06
For ratios, I'd go Lynch, Detmers, Kittredge and leave the hurt guys for later.

Hurting for saves with Sewald deposed, Palencia hurt, and Jacob Webb three weeks from his last save despite appearing to be "the guy". Who would you target off the wire: Erik Miller, Brandyn Garcia, Hogan Harris, Jordan Romano, or Luke Weaver (assuming he gets traded and takes over the gig somewhere)?
Brent Hershey
1:07
My rank last night in places were Garcia, Miller, Harris/Romano. Weaver might be the best pitcher other than Garcia, but a lot has to go right for him to end up in a saves situation.

Hey, got to em all ... and now Brenton Doyle to the ChiSox! More fun to come for sure in the next 5 hours. Enjoy, have a great week, read BHQ ... and see ya next time!
