Median outcome is an infielding Michael Taylor.
4:13
Unlike Taylor, he'll not be cheated for reps. So, that makes him a pretty nice asset in sufficiently deep leagues. To be sure, you can ignore him in 12-team mixed unless you're rostering like 10+ minor leaguers.

18 team keep forever. need to cut two of Morejon, Gonsolin, Bryse Wilson. who goes?
Brad Johnson
4:14
This is all #SameAssetClass for me
So go with who you like. Personally, my gut reaction is Morejon, but that's not a well-researched impression.
4:15
I missed on Morejon in my dynasties so I haven't had much cause to deep dive with my research.

Do.you think Cease is a legit no 2 or better in roto going forward?
Brad Johnson
4:15
That's a stretch outcome for him imo
Like a 90th to 110th percentile outcome.
4:16
I think he's a passable, frustrating starter not unlike Vince Velasquez or perhaps an excellent reliever. Or maybe he just needs an Opener.
4:17
There's certainly upside, but he has to improve.

Taillon will be abalible in our ottoneu draft this year. Do you have a good dollar value to put on a guy like that? Im feeling 10ish but that also feels high.
Brad Johnson
4:17
I'd be aiming more in the $1-4 range
I'm always the last guy picking $1 players at the end, and he'll be on my target list.

How about Christian Pache's fantasy outlook over the next couple of years?
Brad Johnson
4:19
Another guy who brings to mind Michael Taylor due to physical ability and hefty whiff rates.
Kind of a Taylor-meets-Kiermaier profile
4:20
I'm thinking an eventual 4 WAR MLBer with a rocky transition to the majors and sparkling defense
The defense will ensure the bats gets the time to adjust. If you have him in deep dynasty, either sell high on the prospect ranking or dig in for the long haul. It'll probably work out.
Drew Waters is not dissimilar btw.

Can i count on Nico Hoerner to be a passable MI in a 13 team league this year? or if you think his helium will never be higher should i sell him to a cubs fan in my league?
Brad Johnson
4:20
No, I don't think so.
4:21
While he didn't drown in his MLB debut, he was called upon by a club desperate for a miracle. I don't think we can count on him to even start the season in the majors. He did look well overmatched at times.
4:22
Presently, it looks like they've tried to perch the door open, but he still has to walk through it with a solid spring.
Beyond that, his statistical profile really isn't that interesting for 13-team mixed.
Freddy Galvis costs much less and probably outperforms him.

I love the quality start stat, but I hate the way it is currently configured.  6+ IP with 3 ER or less.  So, the pitcher who goes 9 IP with 4 ER has a lower ERA than the guy who goes 6 IP with 3 ER.  Shouldn't the quality start definition be revised to 6+ IP with an ERA of 4.50 or less?
Brad Johnson
4:23
Yes
And by some resources, that IS how it's defined.

What are your predictions of Dean Kremer for this season?  i'm gong to keep him in a 20man keep forever league ...
Brad Johnson
4:24
Well the Orioles are el terrible so we'll see him at some point if healthy.
He got blown up in a trial at Triple-A
4:25
And the AL East is hostile grounds. I completely agree with keeping him in a deep league like this, but I don't think you should expect to ever use him in 2020.
Not cuz he won't be there but because it'll just be too damned dangerous.

How long until Clase and Munoz are closing?
Brad Johnson
4:26
Well Clase has Karinchak to battle too. I could see that bullpen turning into something Rays-like if they ever bother going away from Hand.
4:27
As good as Munoz looks, you're basically hoping for an injury to Yates.
So while these are among the top non-closer stashes, the paths are a bit tortured.
This isn't Aaron Bummer waiting for Alex Colome to get the hell out of the way.
4:28
Which is too bad because they're a lot flashier than Bummer.
