Who's interesting for holds and K's this year, beyond the obvious? Every season hotshot middle relievers emerge like Hader did in '18.
Brad Johnson
4:28
Hit me again in about 2 or 3 weeks and I'll be done my bullpen analysis.

4:28
What pitcher should i be targeting if I'm trying to trade Adam Eaton? Matt Boyd too light?
Brad Johnson
4:28
Not at all. Boyd's a serious stretch.
4:29
Eaton is a nice core asset, but I've generally found nobody wants to trade *for* him
If he comes their way as trade ballast, nobody is going to complain.
So that might be something to keep in mind. Send Eaton+ for SP+

Thoughts on AJ Puk for 2020 and beyond? Think he can be a viable fantasy SP as soon as this season?
Brad Johnson
4:30
Definitely.
I'm not going to call him an ace or suggest you take him at ADP which is...
Oh, it's 258
Take him at ADP
4:31
Let's see. Tanaka is 233, Urquidy??? is 230, Lucchesi 225, Mikolas 224. I prefer Puk over them all.
I do like Tanaka at that value though.
4:32
I haven't looked at this 200 range of ADP very closely. It's all out of order imo.
Dynasty Owner
4:32
Where do you rank Ohtani in a dynasty league with daily moves (instead of weekly)?
Brad Johnson
4:32
Extremely high
In terms of marketability top 10 asset easy
In terms of actual expectations, probably around asset25
Lots of ways it doesn't really work as hoped.
4:33
But if he's even an average performer across 7 or so categories, that's a monster.
So if he also has some standout categories, he's starting to look Top 1. That's the dream anyway.
It's probably a pipe dream

Do you believe in the juiced ball theory?  If so, who ultimately decides if the balls are to be juiced?  The commish?  The owners and the players union? I never understood how that works.
Brad Johnson
4:34
Intent has not been proven in this latest batch of juicy balls.
4:35
I'm inclined to believe the prevailing explanation. The league did quality control by improving the quality of the leather (smoothness) and making the construction more consistent (centered pill)
This had an externality of juicing the ball.
?
4:35
Are you in on Schwarber in OBP leagues? He's somehow still so young and was pretty good last year as a whole
Brad Johnson
4:35
Yes, definitely in.
Not going nuts or anything, but he's a nice core player.

Aquino's draft stock plummeted with the Castellano signing correct? I was looking forward to grabbing him but not anymore.
Brad Johnson
4:36
Oh yea. Should have plummeted before as he already had to step over some guys to start daily.

Stashing rookie eligible guys to get free years in my upcoming MiLB draft. You gave me Clase > Karinchak last week. What about Solak and Hilliard? Both have some nice fantasy upside, both looking like they don't have a definite starting spot though. Either excite you for a couple free seasons in 5x5 (OBP) 12 tm roto?
Brad Johnson
4:36
I prefer Solak. Hilliard seemingly has more roto upside if everything goes right.

Thoughts on Joe Ross? Does he have a shot at holds or some wins at the 3-4 SP slot?
Brad Johnson
4:36
Bold!
4:37
I doubt he's relieving.
He was actually a good starter down the stretch. I wrote about him yesterday here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/33465218
New curve ball seemed to give him life.

Giovanny Gallegos. Breakout or Blowup, with save opportunities.
