Yea, I think his combination of age and pedigree will push him to borderline 1st round value in a dynasty. Granted, I'm not saying he'd be a redraft 1st rounder. For now, consider him next Byron Buxton.

Can you rate my bench in a 12-team league?  I'm feeling pretty good, seems like there's a lot of upside and versatility with a good floor: Dickerson, Villar, Owings, Morales, Maybin, Moran, Altherr
Brad Johnson
4:09
Seems like a good group to me.
4:10
I'm not a big Owings fan anymore, but you might as well see what portion of the 2B/SS/3B reps fall to him.

Hearing that Tanner Roark has simplified his delivery.  Can he get back to being a top 40 / 50 starter?
Brad Johnson
4:10
Not sure his delivery was holding him back. We'll see I guess. He's a command and control guy but sometimes he's closer to average and plus

Odds we see a Santana / Hernandez / Crawford / Kingery infield in Philly before June 1? People seem to think Hernandez is just holding the 2B job until Kingery is ready, but Hernandez a good player and Franco is not. What am I missing?
Brad Johnson
4:12
Neither Kingery nor Hernandez really have the arm for third. I agree that they're not just going to dump Hernandez just because Kingery is progressing. Really reminiscent of the Polanco/Utley era in Philly.

Keeper strategy: I usually keep all hitters if possible but pitching seems scarcer than before. Should I mix in more pitching?

I'm in a 10 team league where we keep 9 with a draft round cost. My 5 definite keepers and cost are: Judge  (16th), Hoskings(18th), Acuna(24th), Trout(1st), Lindor(3rd).

Help me choose 4 more out of these options: Pham(18th), Benintendi(8th), Nola(12th), Iglesias(17th), Weaver(22nd), Carlos Martinez (7th), deGrom (5th) & Vizcaino (24th)
Brad Johnson
4:13
I'll say definitely Pham and Nola. None of the other values scream must-keep to me in a thin format. Maybe CMart and Weaver?

How many stars is too many on a stars and scrubs team? To put it another way, if more than half of my roster is $1 guys in an Ottoneu league, am I screwed?
Brad Johnson
4:13
Nah, I routinely roster 15 or more $1 players in FG Staff 2. I've won 3 in a row. The quality of your stars and their health is the key to the puzzle.

Curious about your thoughts about Nicky Delmonico and Nick Williams for this season.
Brad Johnson
4:15
I think Delmonico had a fluky and under-scouted debut. The ZiPS line looks about right to me - .243/.315/.442, whole heap of Ks, 13 HR in 309 PA (i.e. 25 HR pace)

Position eligibility aside, whose future would you rather have in a dynasty league - Moncada or Acuna?  They seem remarkably similar
Brad Johnson
4:16
Strong preference for Acuna, but that's just me. Not sure there's any science in that preference. I like his swing more though.

10 team league, $300, choose 7 keepers. Harper (39), judge (11), Darvish (11), Shaw (7), Luke Weaver (8), Gio Gonzalez (8), Alex wood (7), Conforto (10), Gallo (7), odor (15), Moncada (8), Torres (8)
Brad Johnson
4:18
My votes are for not Odor, Moncada, Torres, or Gio.
4:19
I think a few are obvious - Harp, Judge, Darvish, and Gallo. That last 3 can be any of the remainders.
4:20
As for letting the prospects go... yea, they're trendy names, but 10-team is so shallow that you can rely on established players and still get the same kind of keeper upside.
if you must have one, it's Moncada.
ok, I've gotten to 4:00 and only skipped a couple...
I'll go to about 4:05 then jump forward
Can't read good
4:21
Trade Clevinger for LeMahieu and Shane Greene even if I already have Albies and Chris Taylor?
Brad Johnson
4:21
Do you desperately need saves? I like the valuation, but the swap doesn't seem to help you.
If it's a very deep league, you can bet on re-selling a 2B. If it's shallow, you'll probably just choke on 2B

Is Hoskins really a slam dunk to be more valuable than Joey Gallo in 2018? Their ADPs are miles apart
Brad Johnson
4:22
No. Gallo is very underpriced.
Hoskins is slightly overpriced
They should both be in the 60-80 range.

SBR pts Q: If I have a strong outfield (Hoskins/Springer/Blackmon/Mancini/Reddick/winker/altherr) and weak 2B (walker or Asdrubal profiling as my starter, kingery in the wings), what would be an appropriate 2B target to trade Eloy for? Or is the upside so great that I should hold? Team is rock solid otherwise.
Brad Johnson
4:23
I like to start big and scale back. Could you try Blackmon and Eloy for Altuve?
Alternatively, you could buy Lowrie for peanuts and keep Eloy

If you have a pick near the end of a 12 team 5X5 league and a chance to grab two of the four SP aces, do you do it?
Brad Johnson
4:24
I'd have to have a reason. Not opposed though.

Do you know when the yearly rotograph positional rankings will be finished our posted?
Brad Johnson
4:24
I do not, that's Paul's territory. They're rounding up rankings right now. I've opted out this year because...

I'm likely to miss on the top 4 arms; who's the worst ace you'd feel comfortable having on your staff this season? Meaning, how long can I comfortably wait to draft my first SP?
Brad Johnson
4:25
I really recommend getting in there by mid 3rd round. A syndergaard, Severino, Strasburg, Greinke, etc.
