what about tony watson? seems like everyone assumes he's next in line, but i'm not so sure. worth having over strop/zych/nate jones/o'day? no holds in my league, so just for the rates & potential saves later on (since i bail on closers in the draft, generally, though i do have rondon)

With MIL looking to be in the running with Philly as the worst team in MLB, do you see a situation where they decide to sit Braun a game or two every now and then just to keep him from getting hurt and to keep their long-term investment healthy? They are obviously not going to win this year, and no one is taking on that contract via trade, so why risk another long term injury to him?

What are the factors that keep a fantasy league going? I'm enjoying my 12th season in a league that started 27 years ago. We had the last 2 remaining founders drop out over the off season, but 2 friends of current owners jumped in to take over the vacancies. FWIW, the ownership is 90% spread across 2 major metro areas. I also, personally feel that limiting the pool to AL-only (or NL-only) makes it more appealing.

There's a lot to it. Fair rules, parity, and some keeper element tend to keep people around
it's also good to get rid of owners who ruin the league with terrible trades to the same couple owners
that's a common bad league dynamic. 1 or 2 guys are particularly good at stealing from the poor.
