How many rookie bats to the Crew actually play next year? Seems like Feliciano, Turang, Ruiz, Frelick and Mitchell are all ready and Wiemers and Chouiro are closing fast. But not many teams with playoff aspirations are going to give regular at bats to 3 or 4 guys let alone 5.

I think it's a bit of a long shot. He's still not even 19 years old. But that being said, he's killing it wherever he goes.

I think it's unreasonable to expect prospects to just light the world on fire and immediately succeed. But it does happen once in a while.

The Gold Gloves are voted on by coaches. So, they tend to be less objective than some other awards, bit of a popularity contest.

At MLBTR, we tend to prefer the Fielding Bible Awards.

Gasser made five Triple-A starts this year. So, he could make his MLB debut in 2023.

Yeah, I could see a Haniger fit. He has enough injury concerns that he could linger on the market for a bit.

You know if you hit grounders, they have to field it, throw it, and fielder has to catch it. Fly ball just catch it and throw it. Ground balls put more pressure on the defense. Strike outs are easy outs.

With a left-handed batter hitting into the shift, most of the grounders are fairly automatic outs. Especially if they don't run very well.

He still has excellent exit velocities, so it's not totally out of the question. 90% percentile in hard hit percentage, 98th in max exit velo.

Back to the Lamet issue. Lamet had previously been optioned to the minors so the Brewers thought they could send him down, but between that send down and the trade, he crossed a days-on-roster threshold that prevented them from optioning him.

I actually haven't seen many legendary games, unfortunately. I was at this year's playoff game where the Jays were up 8-1 on the Mariners but blew it. That was a unique one!
