Brian, do you know if skipper cleared waivers? Do you think, if he did, that they re-sign him to take Dobbs spot and go with only 2 QB'S, put him on PS and sign another Qb or neither? Think we could see Hodges again? I know they never go with 2 QB's but I don't think they should let go of Skipper so this could be the time

No word on Tuzar Skipper yet. We'll see if he's in the locker room this afternoon.

Brian, Should the Steelers replace Bud Dupree with Josh Bell or Ola?
Brian Batko
12:54
I'm into the Josh Bell idea. He'll be free here shortly.

On Washington’s long catch why did he run out of bounds?  It didn’t look like momentum and he wasn't pushed out.
Brian Batko
12:55
The momentum/losing his balance thing is the only explanation that makes sense to me. But yeah, even then, you usually see players try to stumble along for more yards IN bounds. Nice catch, bad finish of the play.

I've read from 2 sources that the Pats offered a 1st round pick for Brown and were turned down.  Isn't that short sighted and not in the best interest of the team?  If KC had offered the same they probably would have made the deal, and KC is very much in the SB hunt.  The Steelers obsession and jealousy of the Patriots is showing,  I think.  Your take, please.
Brian Batko

Could be, yeah. But imagine how that plays if you do it back in March. Sure, there would be some (arguably, smart) people saying it was a good deal. A lot of others would lose their minds over "helping" New England like that.

Glass 1/2 full take: NE always takes away your top threats (JuJu) and forces someone else to make plays.  Johnson and Washington are developing, but weren't ready for last night. Offense will develop over the next month.  Sound crazy?
Brian Batko
12:58
Not at all. Lot was made about how the Steelers might be getting the Patriots at a good time given all their personnel shuffling on offense, but hey, the Steelers had plenty of their own. On both sides of the ball. And it showed. Boy, did it show.

More overhyped...Browns or Moncrief?

Why was Holton on the field, after just getting cut...and why did Ben keep targeting him?
Brian Batko
12:58
Those were definitely some Darrius Heyward-Bey-esque shots downfield, Bubba.

Do you see AB putting up Randy Moss-like numbers?
Brian Batko

Nah, man, 23 touchdowns is bonkers.

There was a sequence of plays where Devin Bush was split out wide for like 5 straight plays, only surrendering a short catch to Burkhead on the first one despite Brady staring at the matchup every snap.  Just an interesting note.  I thought the rookie acquitted himself well.  Do we need to see more of him than Barron as we did in the first half last night?

Possibly. That was definitely one of Bush's strengths coming out of Michigan, his ability to cover like a corner a little bit.

I'm good, man. Just embracing the opportunity to conclude this chat and move forward. Thank you.
