Could be lying, I guess, but I'll take Bud Black's word that ownership doesn't want to move him

Gray should and probably will go because he's an impending free agent. He's having a nice year, due between $2-3M for the stretch run. I think he'll bring back a pair of fairly well-regarded prospects but not a top 100 type

What do you see the Yankees doing before the deadline? how serious are they about Gallo?

Similar to the Cardinals, I think they'll mostly just ride it out. They're going to want to win in 2022 and have almost all of the roster under control for then, so no reason to blow things up

But they're also 9 back in the division now and just lost Judge and Voit for at least the next week-plus. Doesn't feel like a team that should be buying either

Why do teams draft high school athletes when they've already committed to a University?

Top high schoolers commit to colleges really early, but teams are in contact with prospects and their advisors before the draft to gauge how big a signing bonus they'd need to forego college and head straight to pro ball

Tyler Anderson's basically a lock to get traded within the next couple weeks (say, two starts). Plenty of contending teams could use a cheap, competent back-end guy

Marte's supposedly getting moved if he doesn't sign an extension with Miami over the next couple weeks. I lean towards a trade over extension but could see it going either way

Angels aren't doing this. Davies will probably get traded but he's not having a particularly good year. Tepera's good but not going to bring a huge return for two months of work
