Biggest name that might have to sigh after spring training starts?
Steve Adams
3:01
Boras has never been shy about waiting out the market to get a deal, and Castellanos is about the biggest name left in free agency
Redsfan
3:02
Five players left in top 50, three are corner outfielders.  Whinis going to get “stuck” taking a much lower contract than anticipated?
Steve Adams
3:02
We put Puig as a one-year deal guy back in November
Kris Bryant
3:03
Is it true that the rumors that it will be at least 2 more weeks until my grievance is settled? seemed like i was told that 2 weeks ago.
Steve Adams
3:04
I get asked about this weekly and feel bad to continually answer that I have absolutely no idea what the holdup here is. But I don't think anyone knows what's taking so long; if anyone knew, someone would've reported it by now. It's ridiculous that it's taken this long

Will any members of the current Tigers position players be on their next playoff team?
Steve Adams
3:05
Yikes. Maybe Victor Reyes? Jake Rogers? It's not a pretty group.
Farhan Zucchini
3:06
If Yaz picks up where he left off is he my most tradeable asset and should I move him? Going to be 30 this year, whatta ya think...
Steve Adams
3:07
I think any correction to the ball is going to have a pretty adverse affect on a guy like Yastrzemski... I'm just not fully buying the out-of-nowhere age-29 breakout when so much of it was predicated on power he'd never previously shown at any level

3:07
With the twins signing Donaldson and Sano at 1b .Where will Kiriloff and Larnach play?
Steve Adams
3:08
Doubt they'll sign Rosario long-term, which opens one corner OF spot. But that's a question for 2021-22, and they're more focused on immediate wins -- as a team in their position should be. Trades, injuries, declines, etc. always impact these situations.

Hey Steve, isn't the Cubs core still loaded with talent? Baez is better than most ever thought he would be, all of the guys with the exception of Rizzo are just NOW entering their prime years. Baez being hurt, Contreras being hurt, Darvish's 2nd half, and hope for a return to form by Kimbrel all seem to point to the Cubs not really being that far from what they were.
Steve Adams
3:09
They do still have a good core, and I think they're a better team than they get credit for. But the Cubs also seem pretty committed to shaking things up to some extent -- with a Bryant trade currently feeling like the most plausible avenue to that.

Do the same people ask the same question on all of these chats, until they get the answer they want?
Steve Adams
3:11
If someone just pastes their question over and over, I can mute them on my end ha. Sometimes, yes, I have to do that
Tarik Screwball
3:11
Manning or Mize, who has the most upside?
Steve Adams
3:12
Mize
Nick Senzel
3:12
Am I getting traded for Corey Seager?
Steve Adams
3:12
Don't think the Reds would trade all that control over Senzel for two years of Seager
Todd Jeffreys
3:13
If the Rox aren't in the thick of it in June, do you think they'll trade Jon Gray?
Steve Adams
3:13
They should be willing to trade him now. And I'll be pretty surprised if the Rockies are in the mix in June. They obviously have some stars, but as a whole, they're not that good.
At that point -- yes, I think they'd have to accept reality and listen on Gray (assuming health)
Brian
3:14
Do you think teams have finally given up on Matt Harvey?
Steve Adams
3:14
I'm sure he'll get a minor league deal somewhere
Jays fan
3:14
Anyway a team takes bettes and price at full contract
Steve Adams
3:15
Not unless they're sending a huge contract back (e.g. Wil Myers).
BratsandBeer
3:15
Will Stearns have a move left?
Steve Adams
3:16
I think the Brewers will still scoop up a reliever or some starter who isn't finding palatable offers. They always seem to grab a couple bargain plays, and while they've already done so on multiple occasions this winter, there's still some talent out there.
Probably telling that they were linked to Pedro Strop yesterday
Why Not?
3:18
Despite the Cubs claims of no money, how about a straight up trade of Bryant for Arenado?
Steve Adams
3:18
Because that would require the Cubs to take on an additional $234MM and double the amount they're paying their 3B at a time when ownership won't even sign a reliever for a $2-3MM guarantee.

Given the deals that, e.g., Smyly & Gausmann received, are you surprised that Felix's deal doesn't look a bit better?
Steve Adams
3:21
Not really. Felix is older than both of those guys and has been terrible for several years. Smyly missed plenty of bats last season, like he usually does when healthy. Gausman has only had one truly bad year -- although I'll say I was surprised to see him get 9 guaranteed
Eric
3:22
Will the Crew trade Hader
Steve Adams
3:22
At some point he'll get too expensive for their liking via arbitration, but I don't think so this winter, no.
Dustin Pedroia's Knee
3:22
Is my time on the field basically over?? It's over, right?
Steve Adams
3:23
It might be, but I genuinely don't understand why everyone's reaction in these scenarios is "OH GOD RETIRE ALREADY"

It's his career, his passion, his dream and his livelihood. If he wants to scratch and claw, kudos to him.
Larry Walker
3:23
Is today finally my day?
Steve Adams
3:25
Hope so -- and it seems like there's been a pretty big uptick in voter support for Walker. He should've been in years ago, but better late than never.
