He's not. He's their president of baseball operations. And the Dodgers have won every NL West with him at the helm and made a pair of consecutive World Series appearances.

Who wouldn’t want Kevin Pillar on their team? He has one of the best in the league in “Dang%”. Which is the stat the shows how many plays a fielder made that led to someone saying “Dang”.
Steve Adams

Pillar had a .287 OBP. He's also gone from leading the league in "Dang%" -- I wish that was a real thing -- because he has superlative range and can get to damn near anything to being one of those guys who has to dive for balls he used to catch on the run.

The reckless abandon will always be fun to watch and lead to some highlight-reel grabs, but he's not the CF he once was, and he can't get on base at all.

Will there be any takers for Longoria after Donaldson signs?
Steve Adams
3:45
He shouldn't be viewed as a fallback for Donaldson, no

Why not move JD Mart? Sure, DH limits him, but after he opted in, that contract does not look so bad. Price moved too, if you could of course. I'd rather take chances with trying to negotiate a Betts deal through the year and next offseason, then lose him for sure.
Steve Adams

Because there aren't any clubs around the league that would take on a DH who's owed 3/60

Who could the Royals logically get for Whit?  Do you have any trade packages from a couple interested teams??  Thanks

I haven't put any thought into a Merrifield trade because GM Dayton Moore has said on multiple occasions that he has no plans to trade him.

Does Clevinger get moved this offseason? Where does he go?
Steve Adams
3:49
I don't think Clevinger or Lindor will ultimately be traded.

Did the Dbacks just grab the last good reliever on the open market?
Steve Adams
3:49
Kintzler, Strop still out there along with some semi-intriguing rebound candidates.

Does it make sense for brewers to go after happ?
Steve Adams

If the Yankees eat most of his salary, sure, but they're not going to pay his $17MM

Ok, I have to wrap up for the week. I'm on Twitter @Adams_Steve. We'll do it again next week (on Tuesday this time). With the holidays behind us, we'll try to get Mark (Sundays), Connor (Monday), me (Tuesday) and Jeff (Thursdays/Fridays) back on track with the chats! Take care everyone
