Steve Adams
3:27
I don't think the Mets will sign a catcher.
Logan Morrison
3:27
Which MLB Team am I playing for in April?
Steve Adams
3:27
Rockies?
Kyle
3:28
Should the Reds trade Votto and start an accelerated rebuild? He is at a significant peak right now, and could bring a hefty return
Steve Adams
3:28
Full no-trade clause. Has said numerous times, in public, that he has no desire to be traded.
Lionel
3:28
Do you think Boston will end up signing JDM?
Steve Adams
3:28
That's still my pick, but probably more at like 6 years than the 8 Boras is seeking. Toss in an opt-out after the second year, perhaps.
Dave
3:29
Does Neil Walker have any landing spots left?
Steve Adams
3:31
Probably not at the four years he was reportedly seeking. I still think there are fits with the Mets and Brewers... Tigers could try to sign him if his price drops enough and hope there's surplus value this coming July. If he has to settle for a two-year deal, that could hold some appeal to a club that loses its 2B to injury or sees said 2B rapidly decline.
Quentin
3:31
Is Machado a good fit for the Cubs?
Steve Adams
3:32
Machado would make any team in baseball better. He's a good fit on every team.
Jed Lowrie
3:33
Am I wearing white cleats to begin the year or am I traded before then?
Steve Adams
3:34
At this point I expect Lowrie to open the year in Oakland. Nice insurance if Barreto isn't quite ready, and he can play everywhere, so there'll be more teams looking to get him in July than at present.

If he is moved, he's the type of guy who'd fit nicely back in Boston in that aforementioned "2B to open the year then UTIL guy extraordinaire once Pedroia's back" role
blujayz
3:34
wondering who the jays could get for Osuna? and how many? would love a fast outfield thumper prospect.
Steve Adams
3:35
The Jays have made it pretty clear they're not going to subtract from the roster in that manner this offseason, I think
Biff Pocoroba
3:35
Does Kyle Barraclough close for the Miami Jeters?
Steve Adams
3:35
Barraclough or Steckenrider, yeah. Probably Barraclough first
Dan K.
3:35
Who’s on a new team come opening day? McCutchen, Cole, Machado, Donaldson
Steve Adams
3:36
I'd bet on the two Pirates from that group. Others stay
Go Rangers
3:36
Is there any move the Rangers can make to move into the upper echelon of AL teams?  Or has everything they've done to this point doom them to yet another team fighting for the second wild card?
Steve Adams
3:37
They're going to be fighting for a Wild Card spot solely by the virtue of the Houston juggernaut they're looking up at in the AL West. The Twins/Indians (whichever doesn't win the Central) and Red Sox/Yankees (whichever doesn't win the East) both look better on paper to me than the Rangers, and I can see several other clubs joining them in the mix for that spot. I don't think they're all that close to taking the big step you're hoping for.
Rafael Palmeiro
3:37
I can still play in the MLB. Really.
Steve Adams
3:37
Maybe he's part of Derek jeter's aggressive plan to boost ticket sales in Miami.
Fernando's hideaway
3:38
Who closes in AZ? ARchie's place?
Steve Adams
3:38
Archie, Boxberger, Hirano will compete for the ninth. Arizona might like the idea of Archie putting out fires earlier in the game in higher-leverage spots, as they did throughout the 2017 season when they let an inferior reliever pitch the clean frames in the 9th.
It's a SCREWBALL
3:39
What do the Yankees do for 2B/3B? Torres should be ready as soon as he spends 12 days in the minors so they really need 1 veteran at most (since Andujar could succeed).
Steve Adams
3:39
Torres turned 21 about three weeks ago and has 55 games above A-ball in his career.
3:40
If you think he's ready to just immediately step onto a big league roster, you should probably temper your expectations.
Sure he could pull a Bellinger, but Bellinger was the exception, not the rule -- even among elite prospects.
Johnny
3:41
Lincecum is pitching, Colon is up to bat and you only have Tebow and Palmeiro let on the bench, who bats?
Steve Adams
3:41
The answer is always to let Bartolo hit. I don't care if you have present-day Trout and 1999 Barry Bonds sitting on the bench. LET BARTOLO SWING.
Aaron Judge
3:42
Bellinger isn't the only exception to the rule, buddy...
Steve Adams
3:43
Judge hit .176/.263/.345 with a 44% strikeout rate when he debuted in the Majors in 2016.
Big Al
3:43
Still waiting for the SF Giants to sign one or more outfielder.  I wonder if that's ever gonna happen....
Steve Adams
3:43
At some point they'll add someone to play CF and shore up the defense.
Brewcrew58
3:43
Are the Brewers just one frontline starter away from vying with the Cubs & Cards for the division or should they wait until 2019?
Steve Adams
3:44
If they add a quality SP and another second base option, I don't see why they can't contend. They were right there in 2017 already. 2018 will depend somewhat on how fast Nelson can return.
Matt from Germany
3:45
Over/under 20 HR for Max Kepler next season?Do you think he has what it takes to be an All-Star some day?
Steve Adams
3:46
Over, and sure. Maybe not on a perennial basis, but he's a good young player. Will need to learn how to hit left-handed pitching at some point, but even if he doesn't, there are worse things to be than a younger version of Josh Reddick.

When is the logjam going to break?
