deGrom is better in terms of ERA, K%, BB%, FIP, xFIP ... really, the only thing Strasburg has over deGrom is wins, which shouldn't really be considered.

Any free agent signings for the marlins this off season?
Steve Adams
5:25
No major ones, but they'll add a bullpen piece or two, maybe a cheap outfielder or backup infielder.

Do you see Oakland try to move Profar in the offseason?
Steve Adams
5:26
Wouldn't surprise me; he had a rough season, and the A's have other internal options (plus myriad alternatives in free agency and on the trade market)

Do the Orioles trade Jonathan Villar this off season?
Steve Adams
5:29
I think they should -- but there are so many middle-infield options that can be had affordably that they might have a tough time drumming up a big market. Villar's an underrated player, though, and I'm surprised his market to this point has been so minimal.

Is Ken Giles gonna be traded this winter, or will the Jays wait until July 2020?
Steve Adams
5:29
As long as he's healthy, he should be moved this winter

Do I already know who the next manager is? If not, top 2 candidates?
Steve Adams

His comments today make it sound like he's treating this as a real process and doesn't have any specific "favorites" in mind. There's no real way to forecast a favorite before they begin interviews.

Is the Shark more tradeable now or at the deadline?
Steve Adams
5:33
Less money owed to him next summer, so then. I still don't think Samardzija is particularly tradeable; velocity, strikeout rate is down ... he's not as good as he once was, has a limited no-trade clause, etc.

How many years does Cole get?
Steve Adams
5:36
I think he'll sign a seven-year deal that tops David Price's record.

Over/Under on Gerrit Cole's next deal: $240M
Steve Adams
5:36
Under that though.

Phils get Realmuto done with a 5 year, $110 million pact....slightly front-loaded.  Am I right?
Steve Adams
5:38
I think it's a bit steep. If you put Realmuto at something like $12MM in arbitration (aggressive), you're talking 4/98 for his free-agent seasons. I think 4/80 for the FA years works, so something in the 5/90 to 5/95 range makes sense to me.

Ok, I have to wrap up for the week. I'm on Twitter @Adams_Steve if you have more questions you want to ask me. Jeff will chat on Friday, followed by Mark on Sunday and Connor next Monday.

Enjoy your week everyone!
