Kimbrel's option will obviously be exercised, but do you see Dombrowski trying to work out an extention?
Steve Adams

Have to imagine it'll come up in talks, but it's not going to be cheap. Doesn't even turn 30 until late May next year, so he'll be entering his age-31 season as a free agent right now. That'd be young enough to give him a realistic chance to break Chapman's reliever record.
Marcel Ozuna

Will I be traded before Stanton?
Steve Adams
4:50
He's the more realistic trade candidate of the two for me. Huge arb payday coming up, only two remaining years of control. Demand would be pretty sizable... Giants, Cardinals, Mariners, Red Sox -- lots of teams would get involved in those talks.

Does Huston Street get a Major League deal?
Steve Adams
4:51
If he does I'd say it's for $3MM or less, but I'd bet on just a minor league deal with something like a $2-3MM base for making the team and then plenty of incentives.

Can I get something for Avi, or do I have to hope his BABIP luck continues 'til next July?
Steve Adams
4:53
I'm sure he can get *something* for him, but probably not as much as a lot of fans would expect when looking at his base stats. As you alluded to, he had quite a bit of good luck in 2017.

Also, I don't think sustaining that luck for another 2-3 months would magically make other clubs a believer. It's just not realistic to expect someone to maintain a .400ish BABIP on an annual basis.

Chris Stratton For Wei-Yin Chen + Marcell Ozuna
Steve Adams
4:54
I don't think the Marlins are so desperate to shed Chen's deal that they'd more or less just give away Ozuna to get rid of that money. Stratton MIGHT be a back-of-the-rotation guy in a best-case scenario, but he's already 27 and hasn't been terribly impressive

The Giants farm system is poor why would the Marlins trade Ozuna to them?
Steve Adams
4:55
I said they'd get involved in the talks, not that he'd go there. And just because they have a poor farm doesn't mean they definitely can't acquire someone in a trade this winter. They still have SOME desirable prospects -- just not necessarily as many as the other teams that'd be in play for Ozuna

do you think Grandal is expendable? if so what can the dodgers realistically get for him?
Steve Adams
4:56
I don't think he is the least bit expendable.
