Arraez finished five points higher than him. If it was a one-point difference, sure. But I wanted to see if he could get to 63 or 64 bombs, so in that sense, yeah I wish he'd played.

Don’t you think that I should sign Bogaerts?  He can play short or third and I weaken a division foe.
Steve Adams
3:08
I don't think the Orioles (or any team) should make major moves as a means of thwarting other clubs in their division. Should the O's sign Bogaerts because he's a great player and they need a shortstop? Sure.

I don't think they'll spend to that extent, but heck yeah Bogaerts makes that team better.

How long before there are Chik-Fil-A, Starbucks, or Mastercard logos on those big 18-inch bases? Ugh.
Steve Adams
3:09
Don't know, and can't say I'd be bothered by it.

Is a quartet of acquisitions of Haniger, Rodon, Tyler Anderson, and Knebel a reasonable goal for Texas? In same conversation do Duran, O. White, Zavala, and Acuna get Woodruff from Brewers?
Steve Adams

In general, if you're going into the offseason hoping your team signs an exact player -- let alone a collection of four exact players -- you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Adding two starters, one of them high-end, should be a goal though.

I love Woodruff, so I don't feel that's sufficient. Duran really didn't do much in AAA or MLB this year. Not saying he's a lost cause or anything, but it's just not steep enough for me to give up two years of Woodruff.

Can an argument be made that both Kirk and Jansen are top 10 catchers in the league?
Steve Adams
3:15
I think it's a fair argument yeah
Could also argue you might rather have Moreno, long-term, than either. Jays are stacked behind the plate.

Is Miranda considered a rookie? is that why no one mentions him regarding ROY
Steve Adams
3:17
Miranda is a rookie. He's just not mentioned for ROY because he's been nowhere near as good as Rodriguez and Rutschman on the whole. Which is saying something -- because in a lot of years, he'd be more in the mix.

Who do you like more next year? Pittsburgh/Detroit/KC?
Steve Adams
3:18
Big yikes.

I guess the Royals have the best blend of healthy, young MLB talent and plausible offseason spending ahead of them.
3:19
If Skubal and Mize were going to be good to go come Opening Day '23, maybe the answer is different. I don't think next year is the year for any of them, but let's see what the offseason brings. It'll be especially interesting in Detroit.

Do you think the A's will trade Sean Murphy this offseason or wait until the trading deadline next year?  Cleveland seems like a good fit.  Thanks.
Steve Adams
3:20
I think an offseason move is likelier. Cleveland's a good fit, yeah. Arizona, too. Minnesota. St. Louis. Tampa Bay.
Miami
Most teams are a fit for Murphy, ha

I love that someone asked “which crappy team do you like more?” and the Orioles weren’t an option.
Steve Adams
3:22
They're not so crappy these days!

I still think a lot of this year's contributors are going to regress, particularly on the pitching side of things, but you've also got Rutschman and Henderson up from the jump next year alongside Mullins and Santander. And I like Hays/Mountcastle more than their end-of-year numbers, too. And they might actually spend some money this winter.
Felix Bautista!
Yeah, things look not too bad in Baltimore -- a sentence I did not expect to be saying yet.
