Thoughts on Ross/Counsell? I'm not sure which part of that was more shocking to me.

I was as shocked as everyone else. Tim Dierkes and I were on the phone when it was happening and he said "I don't know why, but I bet it's the Cubs" or something to that end when the initial report about Counsell signing with a team that already had a manager hit. I said no way they move on from Ross, whom Hoyer obviously loves.

Should've trusted the Chicago native.

Follow-up to the chapman returning to Jays question? Who's the replacement (options aren't exactly great)? Us jays fans are probably still to traumatized by subpar third basemen that we had in the years between Donaldson and Chapman.
