LeMahieu to the Dodgers?  Is he really any better than Taylor or Hernandez?  Especially for probably 15 times the money?

I'm sure the Dodgers have some level of interest, but as you said, the internal options there don't make it seem all that much of a priority. Twins, Nationals, Angels, Giants (if they move on from Panik) all make more sense to me, as does just going back to the Rox.

Anyone? I did just hit a HR in the Dominican Winter League.

He'll sign somewhere, but I don't think anyone out there could realistically do much more than wager a guess at this point. He said he wants to come back, and someone will take a chance on the bat at a dirt cheap price. Why not?

Does anyone call me about the spare part sale I'm having this offseason? Pillar, Smoak, Martin, Giles...any takers??
Steve Adams

Pillar and Smoak, at the very least, should both have value elsewhere

Steve you say Corbin was one of the top 10-15 pitchers in baseball last year. You are correct. But he has done it for only one(!) year. The teams that sign Corbin and Eavoldi to big money are in for a really big fall!

I'd rather pay a guy based on what I think he's capable of for the next few years than pay someone in his early 30s for what he did when he was 28. For a long time, free agency paid guys entering their mid-30s for what they'd previously been. Teams are showing an increasing willingness to pay for what they think players WILL do, because teams are increasingly becoming better at forecasting future performance.

Is Patrick Corbin contract will be comparable to what Jon Lester got from Cubs 6/$155 million

I think that's a bit rich for him. We predicted 6/129, and I was actually a bit lower on him than Tim and Jeff. I like him at Jordan Zimmermann+ (something like 5/115), but if there's enough demand, I can see him reaching six years.
Ok, I've got to wrap up for the week. Thanks, as always, for joining me. Jason chats tomorrow night at 6:30pm CT, and Jeff on Thursday at 2pm CT. I'm on Twitter @Adams_Steve. Enjoy your week!
