I have zero way of telling who here is a subscriber and who's not. Jotcast is a third-party system and you're inputting your username.

Help me manage my expectations for Jackson Holliday. If he turns into a 3-win player with a league average bat, is that a bust? A disappointment? Should I just be happy with that?

A guy playing at a consistent 3-WAR level is never a bust. Period. You can say you hoped he'd be a perennial MVP candidate, but most No. 1 overall prospects don't get to that point. A lot of them don't even end up having great careers. We've had a good stretch of No. 1 prospects recently, but we're not that far removed from Andrew Benintendi, Yoan Moncada, Byron Buxton, Jurickson Profar, Matt Moore etc. being up there.

There's some good players in there, but none of them has been a consistent 3-WAR guy. If Holliday is that year-in, year-out -- that's a fine outcome, even if it's not the one a lot of O's fans hoped for.

Eh, MLBTR has been free forever, and is rooted in aggregation. I get not wanting to suddenly pay for it, but that's also why the only things behind our paywall are proprietary tools/databases that we build and original opinion/analysis pieces. Times are tough -- not everyone has a ton of disposable income, and we live in a subscription society where you've got god knows how many monthly debits coming out of your account, whether it's the $3/month for us, $17 or whatever for Netflix, $45 or whatever for that Peloton in your basement or whatever other subscriptions. They add up. I get it.

I was a #2 overall pick.

Yes I was saying #1 overall prospect, as in the many top-100 rankings around the league

I'd take a 3-war season from Torkelson or Casey Mize any day!

There is also this.

do you play fantasy baseball, and if so any underrated player you like?

I was down to one league for the first time in .... I don't know... 20+ years? Last year.

As I get older and spend more time working in baseball all day every day -- and especially having kids the past couple years -- my appetite for baseball as a hobby declines. I still like to watch games and go to games, but stuff like fantasy isn't as high on my list as it was when I was juggling like 6-10 teams annually 10+ years ago.

Isaac Paredes is gonna rake at Daikin Park, though.
