It's a little surprising that Lincecum got a big league deal, but he's a full decade younger than Colon, and other clubs were willing to give MLB deals. No one was giving Bart a Major League deal this winter.

With the signings of Oh, and Garcia (presumably) pushing Biagini to the pen, is that enough back there for the Jays to compete with the Angels, Twins, Orioles etc for that 2nd wildcard spot?

I think they can be in the mix, yeah. They're leaps and bounds better-positioned in 2018 imply by virtue of having better middle-infield depth. That Barney/Goins combo for half the '17 season was rough.

The Twins signed a hitter with a 130 wRC+ over his past 900 MLB PAs to DH because Kennys Vargas is not a very good hitter.
LoMo signing has little bearing on Mauer, other than giving them someone better than Vargas (both offensively and defensively) to spell him at 1B on occasion.

Think Arrieta has a shot to still get something like 4/72M?  Have to think that's a fair deal at this point.  Phils have to be in for that, no?  What was the point in them adding Santana and the RPs if not to add a SPer also?

Ichiro to the Orioles?  They could use another lefty OF to platoon, esp if Rasmus fails.  Ichiro could even bat leadoff for that team from time to time

Reasonable enough fit. I hope someone gives him a chance. Baseball's more fun with ichiro around. Hell, at this point if you're the Marlins why don't you just give him $1MM?
