It's called Venison, and TONS of people eat it. Meaning, a whole lot of people carrying it around, to apartments, houses, up and down stairs, hills, and mountains. I really, really, can't possibly think of what it is about carrying DEER MEAT, that would seem like such a strange injury. Do you really not know a single person who has ever gone hunting?

Ha, I live in Minnesota. Of course I know hunters and eat venison. I was just referring to the ludicrous headlines that spawned, and the fact that a teammate (Todd Helton) gave Barmes so many pounds of it that he injured himself carrying it. Obviously there are other nutty injuries. Part of the reason it amuses me so much is the very reason you point out -- so many stories said "DEER MEAT" as if it were some insane food from another planet.
