The Dark Knight Returns

How does Matt Harvey's comeback look so far?
Steve Adams
3:12
Not especially great? Velo is down, control has been good, not missing many bats, giving up loud contact.

Tyler Naquin has been a surprise power bat for the Reds but other than his rookie year he hasn't shown anything close to this output. Does he look like a candidate for late career spike?
Steve Adams
3:15
His batted-ball profile right now is awesome. I don't think the level of hard contact he's making is sustainable, but I'm intrigued enough to have added him in multiple fantasy leagues. He's earned a a little bit of a leash at this point.

Will we see the Brewers finally deal Hader this season if things don't go picture perfect?
Steve Adams
3:15
I think that's an offseason move.
Indians Fan
3:17
Why didn’t the Indians go after more outfielders this offseason? Every year it seems all we get are guys like Billy Hamilton and Ben Gamel

They signed Eddie Rosario to a pretty decent contract. But to answer your general question – and I'm sure you already largely know the answer – money.

It seems Matt Chapman has been struggling for a while. Do you think Oakland has considered trading him for a haul of prospects?
Steve Adams
3:19
He struggled last year while playing through a hip injury (labrum tear) that required eventual surgery. And he's struggled early in his return from that significant surgery. I don't think the A's are going to give up on him because of that. If they don't think he's right, chances are that other teams won't either. And why sell low on a player of that caliber?

Have there been any more one sided trades that the SD/Mariners trade of France, Trammel, et al for Nola and a bag of balls in the last decade?
Steve Adams
3:21
I love Austin Nola and Austin Adams. I also love Ty France. I don't think it was a massive heist for either party, nor do I think almost any trade could be labeled as such after like 35-40 games

Do you foresee the Tigers being competitive next season with Hinch at skipper, Mize, Manning and Skubal being a year into their careers, possibly Torkelson and Riley Greene contributing, and the signing of a few key free agents?
Steve Adams
3:22
I think they'd need more than that to really keep up with the rest of the division, but they ought to be legitimately on the upswing by then, yeah. They have the money to spend on more than complementary players next winter. Curious to see how they proceed.

Do you see Dom Smith staying in LF long term? I love the guy but he is a 1B. Will the Mets trade him? Assuming DH does not happen in the near future.
Steve Adams
3:23
I'll be pretty shocked if there's no DH in the NL in 2022.
