I think he's the type of guy they'll hang onto, but that's the kind of outfield target that makes sense for the Indians -- not someone who's making several million already.

Whether Baltimore moves him will depend on how much someone buys into his 2017-18 numbers. He'd have as much or more value a year later if he can legitimately sustain that type of output. Moving him will probably just piss off Orioles fans anyway.

If a player is out for the season and on the last year of their contract, why doesn't a team just release them?  Matt Moore of the Tigers... just release him.

There's no one all that great that is available at the moment. If they're still struggling to this level in June/July, you can bet they'll look into it, but right now their focus will be on righting the ship with the talented guys they already have in house.

Do you think the Sox move on from Moreland this off season and consider playing a mix of Chavis, Devers, Dalbec, and Pearce at 1B/2B/3B

I don't think they'll re-sign Moreland, and Pearce is a free agent as well. Between Chavis, Dalbec, Sam Travis, Devers and perhaps some other pop-up prospects this summer, it seems like they'll have some good options in house. Dalbec should have time to get ample experience in Triple-A this season, Chavis could play there if Pedroia is healthy next season, etc.
