If you were given 500 Major League at-bats; how many hits would you accumulate?
Steve Adams

Probably 0

What NL team do you see in the WS, only to lose to the Astros?
Steve Adams
3:57
I picked the Nats preseason, so they're my stubborn pick all year.

When do we see the mid-season prospect rankings?
Steve Adams
3:57
Baseball America and Fangraphs have already updated theirs. Multiple times in BA's case

If you were Cole Hamels, would you void your NTC for a trade to Milwaukee?
Steve Adams
3:58
I'd waive the NTC to go to any team with a viable chance of winning, since the Rangers won't be doing any of that.

Again, though, Hamels' name value is making him a dramatically more popular speculative target among fans than his actual on-field results and contract should dictate.

Has Soler turned a corner this season, and do you expect him to keep hitting when he comes off the DL?
Steve Adams

I was more bullish on him earlier when he was walking more. But his BB% is now identical to his 2017 pace, and while his K% is down, he's chasing out of the zone more, making contact less often, and his swinging-strike rate is up quite a bit. Plus, he's hitting way more grounders in 2018. The improved hard contact is nice, but I can't say I fully buy into the overall improvements in his numbers.

Is Fraizer for Happ something the Yanks would consider, or is that over-reaching from the Jays?
Steve Adams
4:02
I don't think they'd move Frazier for him, personally.

Is Mize now the Tigers Top prospect....assuming he signs.
Steve Adams
4:03
He'll probably be ranked pretty closely to Franklin Perez.

Raisel Iglasias brings a significantly better return than did Herrera, correct?
Steve Adams
4:04
He should, yeah. Multiple years of team control remaining, and the control issues he had early have improved.
Ed McWilliams
4:05
Do you believe teams overvalue Prospects? Remember when Zach Lee was untouchable for the dodgers in discussing Cole Hamels few years back?
Steve Adams
4:07
Generally, yeah. But I can understand the reasoning behind why they're overvalued. Imagine how much Epstein would be getting killed for trading Gleyber if the Cubs hadn't won the World Series (or hadn't even made it there). No one wants to be the GM who traded Mike Trout and watched him blow up with his new team. (Not that Trout was traded, of course... just using him as a theoretical example)

What about Hamels for Frazier (NYY) or Hamels for Kyle Lewis (SEA)?
Steve Adams
4:08
As I've said multiple times now, I don't think Hamels has that much value. He's a fourth starter whose name value is making fans perceive him as a viable top-of-the-rotation arm. He's not that anymore unless he can radically cut back on his walks and/or home runs allowed.

Would any teams out there want me and would I waive my clause to go?
Steve Adams
4:09
No one wants that contract.
