Ildemaro has all of 265 plate appearances in the Majors. That's not much time to judge anything.

Pirates just put Musgrove on the IL with triceps inflammation -- maybe pump the brakes on him being their best trade chip, ha.
Marlin Love

Marlins got to be up there for biggest surprise with a 7-3 start, first in a stacked division!!

They've played fewer games than the others, and I'd have bought the Marlins being competitive with their pitching staff before I bought the Rockies.

I still think the Rox are regression doomed -- Antonio Senzatela isn't this good, and they're using Daniel Bard in high-leverage spots -- but the wins they have are in the books. Have to think they're at least a feasible Wild Card team now.

I'm a real thing?

Two walks and 15 strikeouts in 45 PAs doesn't bode well.

Who do you feel has had the best comeback so far this season? With guys like Bard and Rosenthal, it seems like there are tons of great answers, just wondering if you have a favourite so far.

Bard and Matzek comebacks are just unbelievable to me. Bard in particular. I'm rooting for the guy, so don't take my mention of him in my previous comments about the Rockies to mean I'm hoping he fails. It'd be awesome if he just came roaring back now, but I have a hard time believing that'll happen.

Why are the Rockies not extending Trevor Story?  Have they not seen how consistent he has been since 2016.

Their owner opened the 2019-20 offseason by saying they didn't have any money to spend. They're on the hook for Arenado and Blackmon, still paying Desmond. I think they could probably make something work, especially since Arenado seems unlikely to finish out that contract in Colorado, but I feel like if they were going to extend Story, it'd have happened by now.

At this point he's close enough to free agency that they'd have to pay close to market value, as they did with Arenado.

What are the chances craig kimbrel loses his closer job completely ?
Steve Adams

At this point he has.
Ok -- I'm going to go write up this Tropeano waiver claim and Musgrove hitting the IL. Thanks so much for chatting this week. I'm on Twitter @Adams_Steve. We'll do it again next Tuesday!
