Believe he's out for the season with a fractured hand unless his timeline changed. I'm sure the Mets would've done it for the merch and ticket sales, even though he has no business being anywhere near a big league field.

There's just no way anyone gives up a prospect of real note for Donaldson when he's been out since May, has had three days worth of rehab games and is still owed the balance of his $23MM salary

The Jays are vastly better off issuing a qualifying offer. If he accepts, you have him at a 1/18 gamble and if he signs elsewhere, the draft compensation would top whatever they could get if/when he clears waivers.

He's just not a legitimate baseball prospect and it's silly to me that the Mets are treating him like one. I have nothing against him personally
