Better than 50%? I think it's coming.

Mad Max to the Angels is interesting just because they have a history of overpaying old veterans and regretting it. Would offering mad max 40 million for one year work for either side?
Steve Adams
3:05
I expect him to get 35-36MM+ annual value offers on multi-year deals, so no sense taking the 1/40, I don't think.
Ryan mountcastle

Im definitely not getting enough respect for roy. How many rookies have passed cal ripken in hrs as a rookie for their franchise and not be a certain finalist.

Mountcastle's season is flying under the radar a bit more than it should -- I agree. I don't think he should win the award, necessarily, but he deserves a good bit of praise for pulling out of that awful nosedive he was in to begin the season.

I'd still give it to Luis Garcia or maybe Randy Arozarena. (Sorry Rangers fans ... Garcia's OBP is pretty hard for me to get past. And sorry Tigers fans. Baddoo has slipped in the second half)

You didn't include the Cubs in the SS market group, which I think would come as news to most Cubs fans. Who really want Correa as far as I can tell.
Steve Adams
3:09
I question whether the Cubs will actually spend at the necessary level to sign a Correa, Seager, etc.

You mention Kelenic, Lewis and Rodriguez in the Mariners outfield. No mention of Haniger?
Steve Adams
3:09
Just looking down the road at the guys they have under control. If they re-sign Haniger, sure, but he's a free agent post-2022

Chisox roll w Hernandez next year? He's been disappointing since they got him
Steve Adams
3:11
There's no buyout on the option and I think there'll be superior or comparable options at similar prices.

Does Bellinger need the off-season to fix his swing and get back to MVP Bellinger?
Steve Adams
3:12
Quite possibly. He's coming off a pretty notable shoulder injury and something obviously isn't right with him.
Jacob deGrom
3:12
If I end up missing extensive time next season due to arm injury should I still opt out and hit the open market? Or should I just take the guaranteed money? I feel like I've been so good that people will still pay me even if I have been hurt.
Steve Adams
3:13
If he misses all of 2022 or something, maybe forgo the opt out. If he misses two months, comes back, and looks like deGrom, opt out.

With the news of Braun retiring. Even before the PED fiasco , I felt like Matt Kemp got robbed by Braun. Now with the PED news, it seemed like a travesty . Did you feel the same way?
Steve Adams
3:14
I was on the Kemp side of the debate at the time, as I recall, but I didn't think Braun winning was egregious. Obviously, the immediate PED scandal after the fact changed things.

Is there a consensus No. 1 draft choice for next year or will it again be a coin toss with a strategy of spreading out the bonus bucks?
Steve Adams
3:16
There's rarely any certainty with who'll go 1-1 this far out. You have the possibility of teams cutting deals, of course, but you also have pop-up guys who were nowhere near the consideration forcing their names into the mix. Look at Marcelo Mayor this year.

Alright, I have to wrap up for the week. I'm on Twitter @Adams_Steve for more questions. A couple people asked about the Front Office subscription program so I'll leave a quick plug for that here:
