Where does BWJ end up in ROY voting
Steve Adams
3:03
Fourth? Fifth? Sixth? It's such a good class. Witt has had a really nice debut, but he's clearly behind J-Rod, Adley, Kirby and Kwan for me. I'm generally averse to putting a reliever over an everyday guy in voting of this nature, but Andres Munoz might be the best reliever in the American League, so if you want to put him above Witt, I wouldn't scoff.

Anyway the Yankees can get rid of Donaldson and/or Hicks this offseason?
Steve Adams
3:05
If you'd asked me about the Twins dumping all of the Donaldson contract without giving up some notable prospect last winter, I'd have said "I doubt it." They managed to do that (granted, taking some money back in Sanchez/Urshela), so can the Yankees pull off dumping half as much? Probably.

Rodon and degrom seem like the only 2 ace types in FA, which aces could be available via trade?
Steve Adams
3:06
Verlander is a free agent, too.
3:08
I don't think there'll be too many "ace" caliber arms available this winter. Pablo Lopez, I suppose. I could see the Guardians listening on Bieber, too, just because he'll have two years to go and they always listen on their best SPs when they reach this juncture of remaining club control.
Rizzoto
3:09
Despite mashing, is it possible Rizzo doesn't opt out given his continued injuries?
Steve Adams
3:10
I think he will. The injuries ding him, sure, but he's had a better year than in 2021, when he got the 2/32. Teams love the clubhouse presence and all that, too. Maybe the Yankees just try to tack a year on.

Pineapple on pizza; yes or no?
Steve Adams
3:10
Sure.
Angels 7 losing seasons in a row
3:11
Is there a bigger disappointment in baseball?
Steve Adams
3:11
Not to pick on the Halos, but I'm hard-pressed to think of a better answer than this; seven losing seasons and no playoff appearances with Trout/Ohtani on the roster is just.... incredible.

QQ been over an hour how many people in chat?
Steve Adams
3:13
Today peaked at 500-something, I think? That's the highest I saw anyway, but it ebbs and flows. I probably drove some people out with PED talk. It's a bit lower now. September chats aren't as highly attended as those in July or in the offseason.
Twins losing in Playoffs
3:13
I'd argue the Twins losing 18 playoff games in a row is a bigger disappointment.  Angels winning the WS was right around the time of the last Twins win
Steve Adams

This is also valid. As a Minnesota resident, I should've been on top of that.
Los Angeles Angels
3:15
Do you think they have a new owner before the 2023 season?
Steve Adams
3:15
I would lean that way yes.
Brewers Pitching & Payroll
3:15
Do you see the Brewers paying to keep all that pitching, or will they need to make a trade?  Woodruff to Angels for Detmers and Adell?
Steve Adams
3:18
I don't know that pitching is even the Angels' main need anymore (and will have something on the site on that topic within the hour). Reid Detmers has been so, so good since midseason, when he upped his breaking ball usage considerably (slider, specifically).

It'd be hard to say no to two years of Woodruff, but I'm pretty bullish on Detmers. Angels need to improve their lineup at nearly every non-Trout/Ohtani spot at this point. Ohtani/Sandoval/Detmers/Suarez is a nice 1-4.

Alright I've got to wrap up for the week. Thanks, as always, for chatting -- and sorry for all the questions I can't get to in these. I'm on Twitter @Adams_Steve if you're so inclined and always happy to take more questions/comments there, even if it's just more frustration over my PED stance haha. I get that it's a contentious topic about which many fans feel strongly.
