You're right, the state has a very real chance to get shut out of regionals this year, one year after a very strong showing for the state, with Georgia Southern hosting and Kennesaw State getting in along with GT and UGa. This year, Georgia feels like the only viable at-large candidate, and the Bulldogs will have to find a way to win a series against either Tennessee or LSU (in addition to a road series at Mizzou) just to have a realistic shot, if you ask me. Not sure I'm buying that happening. Georgia REALLY needed to win that Ole Miss series this weekend, and they failed to do so.

The mid major life hit USM last week where a 5-0 week dropped them 7 spots in the RPI. Are the poor RPI’s at the end of the schedule going to be too much for the eagles to overcome to get into hosting range?

I suspect that is probably the case, yes. Southern Miss isn't out of it with a mid-20s RPI and sitting in second place in a good league, but they really need to keep dominating the last three weeks to try to keep that RPI propped up as much as possible and fortify their position in the standings. If I'm betting, I'm probably betting against USM having the RPI to host, but it's still a possibility.

Is it too little too late for Oklahoma? Nice series win against Kansas

Billy -- absolutely not. OU has a decent record vs. RPI Top 50 and a respectable RPI. If it wins those series against WVU and Oklahoma State, OU will have a shot. Win one of those series and play well in Arlington and the Sooners could also find themselves in the tournament that way. That Texas series sweep literally saved OU's season.

What does TXST need to do to their remaining 11 games to lock in an at-large bid? Do you believe it will come down to winning a few games in the conference tourney for them to get in?

I think I would like the Bobcats in if the season ended today. I think finishing in the top 3/4 in the Sun Belt this year will really matter as long as the RPI is within range. Speaking of two or three seeds that would be dangerous as heck in the postseason.
