Being swept by Hawaii is going to light a bit of a fire under the Titans. It's remarkable we are getting the same scenario as a year ago. I agree CSUF, has the edge.  The Titans have some pretty big wins over Northwestern, SDSU and Arizona. Myka Sutherlin and Raci Miranda provide a two viable arms and Degadillo gets that offense going....42 stolen bags on the year. Gotta love speed.

I thought Patty being able to use all three pitchers this past weekend was huge for Boomer Sooner. It was clear she was trusting her seniors and the OU offense to get the job done while ensuring the staff received enough work. I know anything can happen on any day, but it is really hard to not think the Sooners are a lock for a trip to OKC in the final 8, especially considering regionals and supers will most likely be in Norman. What were your thoughts on the bedlam matchup?

Honestly, you cannot give a team like OU four outs in an inning. They are so disciplined and have a clear plan on both sides of the ball. Their ability to execute in high-pressure situations and take advantage of mistakes is why they are the No. 1 team in the country. I don't think Hope Trautwein gets enough love. Jordy Bahl is a competitor. There is a reason Jocelyn Alo is the home run queen. Her grand slam to put the Sooners on top completely changed the trajectory of the series. In-game adjustments at the plate and in the circle make OU incredibly tough to beat.

Do you know if there are any discussions about any softball games being televised on major networks this year?
Wondering if the super regional game on ABC was just a one-time thing last year, or if we can expect more to come.

Games on any linear network are (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) are huge. Games on basic television - even bigger. I haven't heard of another game scheduled to air on ABC but I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. The numbers from Thursday Night Throwdowns have been off the charts. Last year was a special moment between Oklahoma and Washington. Let's hope we can get another game for all households to enjoy.

Not much, VT has a higher SOS but FSU has more wins over Top 25 teams. Body of work heading into the final weekend is strong for both teams.
