What about if all 30 teams made the playoffs, and then after facing each other a number of times, the best 8 teams entered a tournament to determine the champion?

Have all 30 teams in a playoff. You can have the playoff be a round-robin of 162 games, with each team placed in a "division"

A decade from now, do you think we'll be able to measure the development that was lost in 2020? Maybe by studying players who were slated for AA in 2020 against comps in other years? Is this something ZIPS is picking up already?
